We arrived on the 13 th no tv working I phoned the owner who couldn’t explain why as he had just had BT out to change the broadband my partner suggested getting a fire stick would be better I then never heard anything of them till the night before we left texting how to leave the cottage for a week we couldn’t go out anywhere as car wouldn’t start so had to stay in Conwy I can’t get public transport so not having a tv for the whole week was not on £500 it cost there information pack you scan had got wet and wouldn’t scan over all cottage lovely was gonna book for next year but booked somewhere else I think the lack of communication just didn’t go down well with me

Thank you for your review. I’m very sorry to hear that you experienced issues with the TV during your stay. After our initial call, I didn’t receive any further messages from you, so I understood that the issue had been resolved. Had I known it was still not working, I would have arranged help straight away. I’m glad you found the cottage lovely overall, and I apologise if the communication didn’t meet your expectations. I appreciate your feedback and will work on clearer communication for future guests. Property Owner

  • "Fantastic location, we didn't use our car at all during our stay as everything is on your doorstep."

Fabulous views. My only comment is to update the information folder with clear details on waste management, and although a cottage for a couple could have had more glasses for soft drinks. There also isn't storage for a bit of groceries but we just rearranged a few things . We had a plumbing issue and the response for repairs was super fast and resolved within hours. Otherwise just wonderful , will definitely be returning.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay at Riverside Cottage. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the location and your stay overall. Thank you for your helpful suggestions regarding the information folder, storage, and glassware - we’ll be updating them promptly. We’re also glad we could resolve the plumbing issue quickly for you. We’d love to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "The only issue is the very limited parking available but this can’t be helped because of the great location of the cottage."

The stairs may be a bit steep for some people. Very comfortable bed and lovely welcome basket.

Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the cottage and welcome basket, and we appreciate your understanding about parking and the stairs. We hope to host you again! Property Owner

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
