  • "A beautiful home in a gorgeous setting overlooking the sea & the castle at Criccieth."

A very comfortable & luxury home. The house is well appointed there was not a thing we could want for. The living areas were very comfortable & we loved the family kitchen dinning room. The masterbedroom & ensuite bathroom were wonderful. I would love to return again. However I feels its far to a home for big for two people. We were hoping to be joined by family members but circumstances prevented them from joining us. I would thoroughly recommend a stay in this beautiful home by the sea.

It is ideal for an extended family, as we were, and in particular the downstairs living accommodation. The utility/boot room served us particularly well when returning from walks in Storm Agnes!

  • "Lovely house and position."

Well stocked kitchen. No mention of the twin room being downstairs. Grandparents in that room not close to a bathroom. Mattresses poor, causing a bad back.3 members of our party banged their heads on utility door to exit. No warnings of its low height. Excellent wi fi. Good parking. 2 showers were very small.

Thank you for your feedback, we’re sorry your stay fell short of your expectations. However the description on line does clearly say that the twin bedroom is downstairs. The mattresses in all the bedrooms have been replaced recently and we also put good quality mattress toppers on all the beds. If they were too soft or firm then this is always a personal preference and the first time it’s been mentioned. The house is an old farm cottage so the back door is a little low, we’re sorry you bumped your head and we have now put a sign on warning of this. The showers are proprietary ones and most people seem to find them quite adequate. We are disappointed with your 50% rating as this is by far the lowest in 12 years Property Owner

Fantastic location. Beach a 2 minute walk downhill. Town a 5 minute walk away. Lots of walks around the area. Snowdon etc all easily drivable. Fab stay. Thank you.

The only improvement I could suggest is a more accessible shower or at least a grab handle.

It was just as described, and a perfect location. Went swimming most mornings so ideal to just stroll down the hill. Amazing views whichever way you turn, and small touches like having binoculars to borrow was great. We also were blessed with amazing weather so an added bonus. Will definitely return.

It’s a beautiful spacious house, with views over the sea and within walking distance of the town centre. Spotlessly clean, well-equipped, warm and comfortable. We loved it, probably the best holiday home we’ve stayed in.

From the moment you step into it, it feels like home. The cottage is amazing and the views are stunning and can be enjoyed from every room. I can't believe I was able to watch the waves role in while brushing my teeth! The quality of design to the property is second to none. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of room and facilities ( cups, glasses etc) which was fantastic and really appreciated. I am completely in love with this property and will definitely be back in the future.

Many thanks for the lovely feedback, we’re so pleased you love it as much as we do. Kind regards John & Jenny Speedie Property Owner

  • "Beautiful location, very comfortable and beautifully furnished."

The only negative was the check in and out times 9am leave and 5.30pm arrival - it's a whole day - it has really put me off booking again.

Many thanks for the lovely feedback. The 9am check out is a hang over from the Covid day’s when our house keeper had to do a deep clean between bookings. This should have been changed to 10 am so I’m sorry if this caused a rushed departure. Like most cottages, check in time is 4pm. We hope you’ll be back again. Our third stay and still really excellent and well kept The views are great and it’s so suitable for our family We have booked again for next year but would appreciate an earlier check in time and a bit later leaving time as we miss nearly a day

Many thanks for the lovely feedback and for booking once again. The 9am check out is a hang over from the Covid day’s when our house keeper had to do a deep clean between bookings. This should have been changed to 10 am so I’m sorry if this caused a rushed departure. I’m afraid 4pm will remain the check in to give enough time for a good clean. This is the norm for most cottages. Kind regards John & Jenny Speedie Property Owner

The property is spacious, has been well designed & the little touches finish everything off to perfection. The property

Cae’r Dyni is the holiday house for you if you are looking for a seaside family retreat!

Nearly all of the windows have stunning views of the sea and Criccieth castle.

This genuinely is a calming and peaceful home from home.

Being part original and part new build, the two sections are united by an amazing slate-floored room with rocking chairs that look out to the sea through a glass wall.

The staircase is beautifully crafted - in fact, hand crafted and beautiful, curated items is the common theme in Cae’r Dyni.

It’s just lovely!

The cosy sitting room has the most incredible views out across the sea.

Sitting here looking out of the large windows with a cuppa and watching the sunshine play on the ocean would be blissful, especially if you also spot a porpoise or two!

The comfortable sofas are set around a wood burner.

There are chairs which you can turn to face looking out of the windows, too.

There’s a flat screen TV, DVD player and hi-fi. The kitchen is open plan with a dining space to one end of the room, too.

There’s a log burning Esse cooker, an electric cooker and gas hob as well as an American-style fridge with freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher.

A TV always for some entertainment whilst rustling up something tasty - just don’t burn your supper!

There is a large utility room with sink, washing machine and dryer. The dining area has a table lovingly made my the hands of Caer Dyni's owner.

There are eight leather chairs, a wood burning stove and oak floors with underfloor heating.

This is a great space for family meals. There is a delightful ground floor bedroom with squishy twin single beds. On the ground floor there is a cloakroom with loo and wash hand basin. On the first floor are three bedrooms, all furnished to a good standard.

The master room has a solid wooden ‘stocks' bed.

It also has an ensuite with a sumptuous roll-top bath, a separate corner shower and an incredible wash basin which started it’s life in Marrakesh and is now in a holiday cottage in North Wales! The other two rooms upstairs are doubles.

All bedrooms have TV’s and DVD players.

One of the other double rooms has an ensuite with a loo, wash basin and shower. The family bathroom is great!

There’s a loo, wash hand basin and separate shower - the slipper bath is a real treat! Head outside and you’ll find a gravel area with seating that boasts some of the best views from a holiday house in Criccieth!

Just soak up the sea views and the sea air from here with a glass of wine come sunset.

There is off-road parking next to the property. Cae’r Dyni is not just a holiday cottage with sea views - it’s also only a short walk from the seaside town of Criccieth with a footpath leading down to the beach.

Happy holiday memories will be made in this cosy and comfortable holiday house on the popular Llyn Peninsula.
