  • "Lovely cottage in an extremely peaceful valley location."

The cottage is generally well appointed and although the site doesn’t list a washing machine, there is one in a modern looking utility room. The small bathroom also has under floor heating and a heated towel rail. Lack of a TV was not a problem but note, if you want to stream on a device, the WiFi can be slow. (Not that you’ll want to glue yourself to a screen when you can relax and watch life go about its business in the valley around you). Walkers should be aware that some of the rights of way on the OS map are impassable, including the one next to the cottage. There are however other unlisted county trails and bridleways around the valley, (one behind the cottage) to keep you exploring, horse trekking or mountain biking to your heart’s content.

  • "We were delighted to return after a break of forty years, when a curious internet search found that the cottage was still a holiday let."

Exactly as we remembered it, except for the high end upgrades which we appreciated.. Swallows nesting in the barn, cuckoos in the valley, lots of little lambs and so peaceful. Lovely walks all round with fab view from the top of the hill behind the cottage. Black Rock and Llandudno perfect for beach trips. Lots of interesting places to visit close by. Thank-you.

  • "A beautiful traditional Welsh farmhouse in a wonderful hidden valley."

Once there i barely used the car with miles of walks from the door. It is an amazing place to enjoy peace and quiet whilst having a modern kitchen and bathroom, lovely warm log burner and WiFi. A perfect place which I hope to return to.

  • "We have been here several times and had a great time, yet again."

The cottage is fairly remote and ideal for those looking for a relaxing break, although there is plenty to do if you’re active, including miles of footpaths from the cottage, Snowdon, Betws y Coed, Zip Wire experience, Caernarfon, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Cricceth, Portmierion, Anglesey, all within easy reach. The cottage is old but has some nice modern touches. If you want a TV that bad you’ll have to bring one to stream programmes on (there is Wi-Fi but it’s fairly slow) but bring some board games or cards instead and reconnect off the gadgets. You can relax next to the log burner with a good book and glass of wine, if you choose. This cottage is the tonic to everyday life

  • "11-25/05/25 The cottage had everything we needed for a perfect stay, we especially liked the recently upgraded kitchen and bathroom, plus the new wood burner made chilly evenings so cosy."

Surrounded by beautiful scenery (and lots of sheep) it was the perfect place for a relaxing escape. With so many walks from the door, and equally as many birds to watch it was our perfect holiday. We had the most fantastic sunny weather for Wales which made our stay one to remember. We can’t wait to return soon.
