Nothing was too much for Sue and Steve and they were excellent hosts. The cottage was immaculate, cosy and spotlessly clean and it had everything we require to make our holiday restful and enjoyable. We will certainly return.

  • "First break away since Covid struck, desperately needed a change of scenery and a break from home."

Sue was amazing, absolutely lovely and told me all I needed to know about local dog walks. The cottage was totally gorgeous, had EVERYTHING I needed in the kitchen and was absolutely immaculate. I was so sad to leave but I will be back! Jackson (grumpy schnauzer) also adored it and he is now sulking!!

  • "We enjoyed this isolated cottage set in the middle of a large cottage garden."

The owner was particularly careful about preparation of the cottage in view of the current pandemic. We enjoyed talking to the owners about the garden, the cats and how they had worked on the house and garden over the years. Although isolated, it is only about 800 yards from the A5 which makes it easy to reach.

  • "Sue and Steve were amazing hosts, assisting us with taking in our shopping when we arrived late due to traffic!"

Very kind and friendly, also sharing little local gems to visit which our dog loved! The cottage was beautiful, quaint and spotless, with a complete cleaning checklist which as been reassuring during this time. Very well presented with decor and a beautiful garden, where we ate most of the time, where we also spotted many butterflies and birds! The perfect location to explore Shropshire and over the border in North Wales.

Very accommodating and helpful in general. The house is in a lovely location, a very short drive from Shrewsbury. The night skies were very starry, light pollution from towns not too bad and Milky Way visible.

The cottage was lovely set in its own small gated garden. Everything we needed was provided by the owners, the cottage was well kept and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We explored the area of Shropshire and there are many places to visit, such as, Chirk Castle, Llangollen, Attingham Park, Shrewsbury town which we found very interesting. We also climbed Rodney's Point with spectacular views from the top. We would definitely recommend this area and the cottage is a great base to explore from. This is a lovely part of England and we were very sad to leave.
