The cottage

The Old Cornmill is romantic retreat offering stunning views across the harbour in Porthmadog.

Quirky meets retro inside and this holiday apartment is in a wonderful location.

A short walk takes you to shops, galleries, restaurants, bars and the Welsh Highland Railway.

So, even your car can take a holiday if you like! An open plan living area is nicely spacious and bright with its white walls.

There are comfortable sofas, a NAD music system and a new flat screen TV with DVD player and home theatre system.

Ideal for cosy nights in just the two of you! The kitchen area has all you need with a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, electric cooker and hob, frost-free fridge and freezer. A double bedroom has a low-level king sized bed and fitted wardrobes for clothes storage.

The shower room has a power shower, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and a loo with a view! Take a walk along the Cob with its glorious wildlife and flora and fauna which leads down to the sea.

Jump on a steam train or take a trip to Portmeirion.

One of the best bits about the location is you can easily explore Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey from here.

Walks, attractions, cycle routes, activities and all sorts are right on your doorstep! The Old Cornmill can be booked together with neighbouring apartment Cornmill Courtyard which also sleeps two.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway, where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see. An ideal location for the attractions of Snowdonia and the The Lleyn Peninsula.
