  • "Really lovely home, with great quirky decor."

Fabulous having 2 parking spaces. Great location. Loved having a coffee in the small conservatory looking out over the river. Owner left a nice welcome note and bottle of wine on arrival, and milk in the fridge. Some fun scary decor was added for the time of year, which the kids loved. Would definitely recommend this property to others. A real gem of a place in beautiful Llangollen. Thanks for letting us stay.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at BrynDwr which is right in the middle of the charming Welsh town of Llangollen and perched on the edge of the River Dee."

On arrival the house was clean and welcoming with milk, tea and coffee and even a bottle of wine. The 5 Bedrooms all have very comfortable beds many with fabulous views of the river across to the pretty town. It’s really convenient that one of the bedrooms is downstairs with its own en-suite, as the stairs could be a challenge for some but there are handrails to ensure safety. Although the house is old, the heating system is simple to operate and kept us warm when needed. We ate our breakfasts on the outdoor decking watching the various activities of canoeists in the river and enjoyed the view of Castel Dinas Bran. Then took the steps to explore the garden below and discovered that there is a cosy shed away from it all to sit in the quiet. One day of our stay was wet so we had to cancel our plans for outdoor activities, but the lounge had plenty of games and a TV to keep us entertained. There’s also a 2nd TV in the dining room. The house itself is fascinating as parts of it are reputed to be 17thC but the modern plumbing and amenities gave us everything we needed for a comfortable stay; we also enjoyed the eclectic collection of quirky art works and sculptures. There’s no shortage of pubs and restaurants on the doorstep of the house and many local walks and attractions within the town and surrounding area. All in all, we felt that we’d made a good choice for our weekend and it is an ideal place for a good holiday or break at any time of year.
