  • "We had a wonderful stay at the Hand Apartment at Christmas 2023."

The hosts were very kind and put up a tree and Christmas decorations and they gave us the heads up about good places to eat. The apartment had so much more room than we imagined and the sitting room was lovely, as was the dining area. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay with 3 adults 1 teenager and 2 children 9 and 11. I don't think your photos do the space justice. The furniture was new and comfortable, we had worried about us all fitting in the living room but we had plenty of room, it was perfect. The bedrooms were also very nice, clean, spacious and comfortable. Our only suggestions would be:- that a washer/dryer in the kitchen would be a great addition and there are so many empty cupboards it's achievable. Leave instructions about daily waste disposal Leave instructions about the heating, possibly not so important in the summer months. Our last one is the view from the kitchen could be improved and access to the enclosed space wasn't available even though mentioned in the blurb. However, non of this took away from our visit, the hospitality and the wonderful Christmas our family had at the Hand.

  • "Superb holiday apartment in a great location."

Very clean and tidy with a very well equipped kitchen and loads of space, Beds were very comfortable and location was great - Handy for the north wales coastal resorts as well as Snowdonia / Betws-y-Coed etc. A big plus point is also the very nearby train station (five minutes walk) on the Conwy valley line, giving a very easy and scenic train ride between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno junction and all of the stations in between. Can recommend the bakery around the corner -Scilicorns, who do a fine meat and potato pie, as well as all of the (very) local pubs, shops and takeaways - I wish my local Spar store had all of the yummy things this one stocks! Although the property doesn't have its own parking space as such, there's loads of 24 hour free spaces available at the nearby civic centre/library - less than two minutes walk away. Five wagging tails out of five.

About the location

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
