“What a great place Two Hoots is.”

Spotlessly clean, lovely and quiet and the hot tub is brilliant. My wife and I had a fabulous time just chilling out and admiring the fantastic views over the Dee estuary. Well recommended!

“Absolutely wonderful seven night stay in Two Hoots holiday pod!”

It was just the quiet break we needed after a stressful year. The pod has a gravel parking and pathway which leads to each pod so even in wet weather no wellies are required! The pod was spotless and had everything you need and more! Carol the owner has thought of everything and even provided wood for the hot tub and welcoming gifts on our arrival. She is a lovely host .The hot tub was amazing after days out sightseeing ! Will definitely stay here again!

“Hi stayed here for 3 nights with my Son and my friend and her Son stayed in Ewe Two.”

The pods were very clean and perfect everything you needed. The wood burning hot tub was a must and my Son loved firing it up no need to worry about logs ! Two bags given and then you could purchase logs if more needed. The pods are in a lovely field with beautiful views and was extremely peaceful. Lovely field where boys played football. I would definitely recommend.

“The owners were really friendly and helpful.”

Had wine and biscuits and tea and coffee provided amongst other things. Wood for the hot tub was provided. Also netflix and other streaming services on the tv. The place was spotless on arrival. Can not complain about a single thing.

“We had a beautiful 3 night stay at two hoots, everything was just as expected and we loved it!”

The pod was very clean with all essentials needed plus there was a couple of mini bottles of wine to greet us when we got there which was a lovely gesture. There is a shed full of everything you need, we had a bbq on our first night and there is extra wood for the hot tub. It took us a little while to get the hang of the hot tub but once we worked it out it was great to use and we loved being able to chill it in whilst watching a film on the TV! We would recommend this place to everyone and I think we will return sometime in the future

“Everything was lovely, and it felt so cosy!”

Was really pleased with the pod and the cleanliness, also had all the cleaning bits we needed like washing up liquid, sponges, tea towels, kitchen roll and bin bags, Which was great. WiFi included even had Netflix! Was a lovely little stay and very privately fenced off from the other pod. Would defiantly return.

“We had the best time staying here for the past 3 nights and we didn’t want to leave.”

It was very clean and well equipped with everything you need even offering dvds which made it feel nice and homely, the bed was really comfy and we loved the hot tub we went in it every night. It is a short drive from a variety of supermarkets and there are things to do in the surrounding areas. It was such a nice break from everything that is going on at the moment and to have a little chill time. We will definitely be returning.

“Will definitely be returning”

We have just got back from 3 nights at two hoots and we loved every minute and we were so sad to leave. It’s been the perfect little break and peace that we needed during this time. It was very clean and well equipped with everything you need and even a little shed with things like dvds, books and a bbq to make it feel extra homely. We loved the hot tub and we were in it every night, there are a range of shops just up the road and things to do near by. We will definitely be returning. :)

“Wonderful little get away”

These little holiday pods are cosy and well equippes, the countryside surrounding is beautiful and gives a real sense of escaping from our lives for a few days. During these unprecedented times, they are imppecably sanitary and clean. The hot tub is wonderfully warm although wasn't going when we arrived so the first night took us until around 10:30pm before we could use it however we got the hang of it by tjr next night! Had a great stay and will definitely come again!

“A lovely little holiday 'pod', very clean, cosy and warm.”

The owner was welcoming and had the wood fired hot tub fired up on the first day which was wonderful. We tried it again on our last day but it took hours and we gave up, but then the weather was really awful which didn't help! Overall a lovely holiday pod!

The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I was a bit nervous to stay with just a child, but I was made to feel so welcome and we just had the perfect time. Surrounded by sheep and cows, we were both in our element. The location was stunning, the lodge was beautiful and very clean and tidy.

Two Hoots & Ewe Two

Sited on the owner's working farm, which has a mixture of arable, sheep and cattle farming in the surrounding fields. These two secluded identical barrel pod properties are set back and separated from the owner's own property and are surrounded by picturesque fields. Placed within the Flintshire countryside of North East Wales looking out onto rolling hills and the River Dee Estuary, this is a perfect spot away from everyday life for a relaxing break. From here, you are well-placed to explore North Wales and Cheshire, or just to kick back in the countryside setting. The pods are ideal for a couple's romantic retreat with a private wood-fuelled hot tub to offer that deserved sense of tranquility. Inside these fantastic pods is an open-plan living space, each with a double bed, kitchen area, sofa and Smart TV with DVD, which you can actually swivel round so you can watch from your bed, or from the wood-fired hot tub on your private decking! For local activities you can check out the pubs and shops, walking and cycling routes or head over to Flint Castle ruins. Or a short train journey or drive can take you over to Colwyn Bay, Betws Y Coed and Llandudno where you will find opportunities for walks, shopping, countryside, beaches and many interesting and varied activities. The historic market town of Mold is only 6 miles away with a large selection of shops, restaurants and once a week there is a market held in the town centre. The neighbouring farm also runs a clay pigeon shoot every 2nd and 5th Sunday of the month from 10.30 – 14.00hrs. Back in the other direction and over to Chester, you will have a great time exploring this delightful city, by taking a walk around the city walls, touring the magnificent Gothic cathedral, or strolling around one of the UK’s best zoos, Chester Zoo. Whatever your reason for needing a well-deserved break, you will find yourself totally content at Two Hoots and Ewe Two, realising that a simple life never felt so good.

The property

Two Hoots is a superb holiday pod, which sits alongside its identical counterpart Ewe Two.

The pod can be found set on the owner's working farm but away from the owner's own property for privacy, offering views over fields and across the River Dee estuary.

A retreat away from the hustle and bustle is what this property can offer you and your other half, to allow you to enjoy some quality time surrounded by nature.

There is one main room which magically fits in all you will need, such as the kitchen area with a 2 x ring hob, microwave/oven and sink; there is a two seat sofa, a double bed, a TV with DVD and WiFi.

Concluding this unusual holiday accommodation is the shower room, boasting a walk-in shower, a basin and WC.

Continuing to impress is the private decked area, where you can look forward to dipping into the wood-fired hot tub built in just for you both to enjoy on a warm mid-summer evening.

NORTHOP

Chester 12 miles.

Located 12 miles west of Chester, on the borderlands of Wales and England, Northop is a historic and pretty village, dating back over 1000 years, with a variety of architectural styles on offer along the high street. Developed as a result of its strategic position on the transport route between the two countries it thrived throughout the 17th century and still retains a delightful village feel, with three welcoming village pubs, a busy Post Office and general stores and several shops and businesses make up its centre, along with a village cricket club and reputable golf club. The Wats Dyke was built in the 8th century to protect the Welsh from invaders and now forms a delightful walk from Holywell along a 65km trail into Shropshire, cutting through the village and surrounding farmland of Northop. Be sure to visit St Eurgain's Grade I listed church in the village, eat at one of the village pubs and perhaps hear the award-winning Northop Silver Band rehearsing in the nearby band hall. With excellent access to both Chester and the North Wales coast on the A55, just 2 miles drive to the renowned Theatr Clwyd, fantastic country walks and cycling routes and several excellent golf courses in the area, Northop is an ideal base for exploring the many delights on offer in the region.
