  • "I would recommend thumbturn locks on the exit doors in case of emergencies."

Great location and very clean .

  • "Although the important areas were clean, the house generally needs a deep clean."

Don't think the furniture has been moved to clean behind it in years. I wasn't able to put clothes in the drawers as they were dusty, as was the shelf in the wardrobe. The top drawer in the middle bedroom had enough cannabis in there to roll a spliff. The house was comfortable and adequately fitted out. Although tea towels weren't supplied.

  • "We had such a fabulous time diolch/ thank you!"

! The house was incredibly spacious whilst being very comfy and cosy, with everything you could possibly need. The owner James was very helpful indeed and nothing was too much trouble. A real home away from home by the seaside, happy sea days!!

  • "We had a great week at 91Penrhyn Avenue."

It is deceptively large with three good sized double bedrooms. The kitchen diner is roomy and well equipped and the living room is comfy and cosy.It is in a good location ,being only a five minute walk to the seafront. We appreciated the welcome pack and would happily re-book the house again.

  • "We were actually very dissapointed."

There was no wifi connection working, no phone network, we spoke to owner many times, but it took 12 days until a technician came to check and still didnt work. There is no broom at property and some sort of hoover that dosn't work.

We are disappointed to hear of this experience and see this review. Every effort was made to try and resolve the issue with the broadband as soon as possible and the owners shared the guest’s frustration which was unfortunately due to a technical fault in the area. This had to be resolved through the attendance of an Open Reach engineer and was therefore outside the owners control. An earlier engineer appointment was offered to the guests but unfortunately this was declined. A cleaning mop is provided for the property along with a brand new Shark vacuum cleaner. Sadly, the property was not left in a clean state for the cleaners as two families ( up to 10 people) were using the property well in excess of the capacity of the house as advertised and this was not declared on booking. In addition to the food waste, rubbish and generally poor state the house was left in the owners must also sadly report the loss of over eight high quality towels which were taken by the guests. Whilst every effort was made by the owners and cleaners to be flexible and accommodate reasonable requests, including changing the check in and checkout out days, we are disappointed by the treatment of the property in this particular case. • "There was a lot to love about this property."

The location was great for getting out and about by car, bus or train; and it was only a short walk to the promenade. The property itself was spacious and very well equipped. Downstairs there is a cosy front lounge, dining room, toilet and a large kitchen with quality fittings and appliances. Upstairs, there are three large, double, bedrooms with quality bedding and furniture and a bathroom with a large bath and shower over. The thing that particularly impressed me was the quality of the furniture, decor and flooring throughout the property. A real home-from-home.

  • "Generally very pleased with the house, well equipped, clean and spacious."

Fabulous kitchen! Just a couple of points, our booking included an infant but neither the owners or Sykes made it clear that there were no facilities for a baby, the addition of a travel cot, highchair and stair gate would enhance the property. Also it didn't say in the information that there is a dishwasher or that the 4 person dining table could be extended. There was a nice welcome pack when we arrived but no toilet paper! Also just a point for the owners that there were lots of lovely kids games but most of them were incomplete missing dice etc. Overall a really nice property and a very comfortable stay.

Everything about it was 100% So clean & tidy. The bedding was beautifuul & really comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Both downstairs toilet & bathroom were really clean with no problems at all. The living room was somewhere to rest & again very comfortable. We would be extremely happy to recommend this property & hopefully go back ourselves one day. Thank you for providing such an exceptional holiday home.
