    We enjoyed lots of beautiful walks and trail runs nearby. The cottage had everything we needed, and Lisa was a fab host. She made sure to check in and was very responsive which was really appreciated. The games room was a fab addition and we had many competitive games of darts and pool! We hope to return soon!   • "We stayed here for New Year's and we absolutely loved it."

    The cottage was perfect and kept to a high standard. The cottage was spotless and Lisa welcomed us with some lovely added touches for our stay to get us going plus treats and toy for our dog Reggie who loved the toy !! We had everything we needed in the cottage for our stay. Every room was spotless. We could tell Lisa puts a lot of effort in to making you feel welcome. It was an ideal location for us and we had some lovely walks just an hours drive away.  There is a shop and pub very close and bigger shops are close by. We would recommend staying here to anyone who wants a quiet break away with plenty to do nearby we will definitely come back as perfect for us

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay over Christmas!"

    The cottage was even better than advertised, super cosy and great location for some beautiful country walks. Lisa as a host was incredible! She made us feel extremely welcome, and offered some great recommendations for walks in the area. the little touches that she added to the cottage as well like the games room, the welcome gifts etc made it feel like a second home!

    Lisa was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble and replied to messages straight away. The cottage was super clean and so well stocked with everything we needed and more. The location was so peaceful and pub with super food and little shop 1 minute walk away. Highly recommend place to stay.

  • "What a beautiful cottage this is, in a very friendly and peaceful village."

    I stayed here for 8 nights and I could have stayed a lot longer. There was nothing we needed, everything has been thoroughly thought out and Lisa was so lovely, very attentive and helpful. Walks for the dogs is on your doorstep, the village pub is also dog friendly and the food is very nice, and you can also takeaway, it is less than 50m from the front door. I came here to get away from fireworks and it delivered the peace I wanted. Unfortunately, I had to work all week, however, for those that wifi is important, it was perfect and never dropped out once, running at about 80mb. Do not hesitate booking here, it will exceed your expectations, thank you very much Lisa, I know I will be back again.

  • "Me and my family had a great time."

    The cottage has everything you need and more. It’s quite central to a lot of things so maybe 20 minute drive to a lot of places. The shop is couple of doors away and reasonably priced and the stag food was lovely. Looks very old inside but food was great and fresh. Would highly recommend this cottage. Nothing was to much for Lisa she was amazing. I would definitely return.

  • "The tone is set when you step through the front door into a spotlessly clean front room with a spring fresh aroma in the air."

    This creates a positive vibe and you don't start to look for negatives. This continues through your stay and you don't mind the steep stairs and downstairs bathroom ( no problem ) The cottage is very well equipped for home cooking & if not the pub is 50yds along the road. The owner (Lisa ) was on hand with help and advice when needed. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "Perfect cosy North Wales getaway."

    Cartref has everything you could need for self catering accommodation and ideally located for most north Wales attractions. A lovely pub 20 seconds walk from the front door too, highly recommended for food. We would definitely stay again given the opportunity in the future.

    I honestly can't say enough good things about this beautiful accommodation! The cottage itself was stunning, thoughtfully, decorated with such charming and attention to detail. One of the most special touches was the thoughtful gifts Lisa left for us, especially the handmade soap, which smelled divine and added such a personal, heartfelt touch to the experience. It's those little things that really make a stay unforgettable. Parking was also a breeze, which just made everything even more stress free. Lisa was an exceptional host, incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had the most comfortable, relaxing stay possible.   • "We can't speak highly enough of Lisa and the cottage."

    The cottage was cosy, clean and fantastically well-equipped... it had everything you needed and more for a comfortable stay. It's a superb place no matter the season... from the many nearby attractions and sights on a sunny day to being warm and entertained with the log burner, games room and excellent pub just a few steps away (doing both eat-in and takeaway meals) when it's cold or rainy. As a young family it was completely perfect for us, and Lisa was such a friendly and responsive host who made sure we had everything we needed. 100% recommended!

    Lisa was great with comms as soon as I'd booked and I found the cottage easily. The cottage was spotlessly clean, fresh linen and towels laid out, the kitchen has everything I needed and even the fire had been prepared. Lisa had left a few snacks and a toy for my pooch which I thought was a nice touch, would definitely recommend.

Llangernyw is a peaceful Welsh village with a local village shop and friendly village pub which offers quality dining, real ales, games room and is dog-friendly. There is also a coastal cycle path which runs along the Abergele seafront. For walking and outdoor enthusiasts beautiful Betws-y-Coed known as the "Gateway to Snowdonia", Zip World and Surf Snowdonia are all within easy travelling distance.
