  • "Porth Penwaig is a lovely place to stay."

The cottage is fully equipped, all kitchen utensils , bedding & even a picnic basket is supplied. It was spotlessly clean & the view is just breathtaking. The location was perfect for us, we have a 5yo daughter & a small dog. It was situated in a quiet coldesac, but walking distance to the beach. We walked the local coastal paths & climbed up one of the mountains. The Cliffs pub just up in Morfa serves delicious food. There is a pool table there which entertained our daughter for an evening when we popped in for a drink. This is a perfect stay if you are wanting to relax & recharge. On a rainy day we drove to a bowling alley which was approx 20mins away. Caernarfon & Portmadog are approx 30-40min drive for a change of scenery. The hosts do live next door & the lady was very friendly. There's nothing negative to say , thankyou for a lovely stay :)

Modern and comfortable, great use of limited space. The view from the massive first floor lounge window and balcony was breathtaking. So wonderful to be able to watch the sea from the comfort of a sofa. Great location only a five minute walk to the massive, mostly, dog friendly beach and the stunning coastal path walks. The owners were charming and most helpful. We would have loved to stay longer and are already taking about a return visit.

A holiday made even better by the beautiful accommodation. Porth Penwaig is a warm, comfortable and very nicely decorated cottage with all the mod cons. More than that though, the views from the cottage are second to none. There’s nothing better than waking up to a sea view and knowing that you’re only a 5 minute walk from the beach. In addition, the hosts are welcoming and helpful. This site was perfect for us as we love long walks along the beach and coastal paths. As it got dark, it was nice knowing that we were going back to a warm place where we could prepare and cook a warming meal. The beds were comfortable too, so we were able to get a good nights sleep. We will definitely be booking again. Loved this placed.

The apartment is clean, facilities inside are very good. Nice stay and people there are very friendly and welcoming. A good base for reaching any part of the Llyn or further like Porthmadog. Only two little suggestions … The shower is great, but I noticed the shower base can be a bit slippy when you first step in it, maybe a shower mat needed so your feet grip. And the outside veranda windows need cleaning, this would make viewing outside from the inside even better as the sun sets.

Thank you for your wonderful comments and suggestions. The outside veranda windows are supposed to be cleaned after each guest as per instruction to ensure that the view is not ruined. Apologies that this did not happen for your visit. It has been mentioned to the cleaner. Property Owner

The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. The view was amazing, even in bad weather and the owners were really kind, friendly snd helpful. The only drawback with this property was having to enter through a bedroom, especially after a walk with boots etc on. It is a shame the door couldn’t be to the side instead. A larger mat would be helpful to keep the floor as clean as possible and give you more space to wipe and remove boots. It was an irritation but it didn’t take away from the fantastic time we had and would go back again
