"Lovely cottage and garden."
Although the garden is behind the cottage and not attached. A very quick walk to it though. On the last day we entered the garden and someone had put a string attached to two bits of wood half way across the garden? Unsure what this was about and we weren't notified. Lovely location. Coastal walk to beach behind cottage. Parking was ridiculous, we struggled to get a parking space on multiple evenings. On street parking on a tiny very busy road, constant traffic going through and only room for one set of cars in one direction to go at a time so whoever turns up first gets first dibs. Cottage is small but lovely and cosy. We read somewhere that you get a welcome fire pack but we had a few logs left to us which was appreciated but one was half charred already, the lighter didnt work so we had to buy more logs, kindling, paper and a lighter. Was lovely to get use of the fire though. Would of been nice to have a full toilet roll and not two used ones. Very basic things in kitchen. One frying pan , nothing to drain pasta with, had to use the flour siv. We like to do a fair bit of cooking when away though others may not. Also feel the lighting is very dark in the cottage. We were left some lovely welsh cakes. Sizes of bedrooms etc were good. Cottage itself was beautiful. Definitely recommend a stay here!

"This cottage is well located, being close to the beach (10 minutes walk on the path behind) and short drives to lots of attractions and places to eat."
It is characterful, clean and tidy, however this also means low ceilings and doors. If you are over 5'7" you will need to stoop going through the front door and the kitchen door, and if you are 6' like me, you will find yourself swearing daily. There were other inconveniences that slightly spoiled the stay; no mixing bowl in the kitchen, no views at all and quite dark downstairs, the toilet seat keeps moving, and garden does not adjoin the cottage. Instead it is along the lane behind the cottage. It meant that we couldn't leave our 2 small children alone unsupervised. The other thing was that we struggled to find it, driving up and down the road 4 times before we spotted it set back just on the bend.
It would make a great winter hideaway for a couple, with the fire on and the curtains drawn and walking routes all around, just trying to remember to duck through the doors.

"This property has lovely character downstairs, the kitchen had all the facilities we needed, the upstairs was clean and comfortable."
It’s in a beautiful location just a minute walk around the back of the property brings you onto the coastal path. The outdoor space is around back so you need to come out of the front door onto the road and up an alley to get to it. We didn’t use it as the grass needed cutting. The living room could do with a good clean especially the settee and rug and as it had a strong odour.

"There was no welcome pack."
No central heating, only log fire which didn't last long. No extra bedding. The kitchen had dirty used cloths.
The blind in bedroom was mouldy.
The big bedroom was freezing cold at night.
The amount we paid for it we could of had something better.
But the village was lovely and the locals very friendly.
The coastal walk was beautiful.

"Lovely cottage."
We were cold and damp the first night but were the first let in a while and raining. Once we got the wood burner going we soon warmed up.
The cottage needs a women’s touch as the kitchen had essential crockery only. I had brought my slow cooker but there were no casserole dishes or oven bowls. The rug in front of the fire has an odour and stains at the back.
Gwyn brought us an ash bucket and companion set for the fire.
Yes, only one toilet roll, but we came prepared. Lovely comfortable beds and bedding, all spotless.
We had a lovely restful time and enjoyed beach walks etc.
Sorry for spilling my orange shampoo on the bedroom carpet when we were leaving. I tripped.I tried to get as much up but it kept foaming.
Thanks for the feedback Catherine i will ask cleaner to add extra toilet roll and ask a woman i know to touch it, as in get crockery

"This cottage has the potential to be exceptional."
It's very dark and cosy, which for December was great. It's tucked away without a drive, but we found the on road parking to be absolutely fine. We really enjoyed reading about the property's history, which was included as part of the welcome information. We appreciated the firewood for the first fire, and the sparkling wine in the fridge was a nice touch. There is a well stocked Spar down the road, and it is very close to some stunning beach walks. Communication with the owner was great when we couldn't find the immersion switch for the hot water - friendly and very helpful.
If you are considering this cottage, though, know that you will need to bring *everything* with you. There was one toilet roll, one tea towel, one bin liner for the small kitchen bin, no hand soap, no hair dryer (not great to discover that right before a brisk beach walk in December!), no heater in either of the bedrooms. The single tea towel quickly became smelly because there is no central heating so therefore no radiator to dry it on. Many holiday lets we have stayed in have everything you need to make it a home from home - this isn't one of those properties, so just bear that in mind. Finally, for dog owners: the garden is not connected to the cottage. It is totally separate, so letting your dog out for a wee before bed or in the middle of the night isn't an option - you'll need to put their lead on and take them out. Overall a very cosy cottage full of character and history, it just needs a bit more attention to detail.
Thanks for the review, pleased you’ve enjoyed your stay, apologies for lack of hairdryer will get one this week.
I will ask cleaner to double up on toilet roll bin bag and tea towel.

"Lovely little cottage, beautifully renovated and really cosy and comfortable."
Be aware that the garden is separate to the house, down a side alley, and it was padlocked during our October stay. So, not ideal for dog owners staying out of season. Cottage had everything we needed but it would have been nice to have salt, washing up liquid, more than 1 loo roll, and maybe a hand soap provided. The little things make a big difference. We would stay again though as it's perfectly placed for gorgeous beaches and coast path, and we had a really nice time.
Thanks for the great review, Sorry to hear you couldn’t get access to garden, gate is not locked, washing up liquid is in a ceramic pump next to sink. I’ve asked the cleaner to leave 2 toilet rolls and salt and pepper mills.
Thanks again
Gwyn

"Ty Receiver is a delightful cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay."
Nefyn is a beautiful place with wonderful views from a nearby footpath that leads to the beach. Delicious pastries at the beach cafe. Friendly pub just up the road and two nearby well stocked shops. Also, the area is paradise for 4 legged waggy tail family members. We had the best time and will definitely be returning.
