  • "Really nice cottage that we'd definitely consider again."

It was very cold over the days that we stayed but the heating was really efficient and the electric flame effect fire in the lounge made it cosy. Well equipped although could have done with a colander. Also it was in a good location for shops and amenities in the town. The garden looked really nice although it was too cold outside to enjoy. Only thing I'd say is the view isn't that great and a few minor repairs are required. Overall a great property

Lovely gesture to leave me a welcome basket, bread, milk, butter and Welsh Cakes. Great location, St Mary’s at the bottom of the garden and views over the valley and River Clwyd from the front. Parking outside the gate and located in the centre with all amenities if needed. I sussed out the three pubs, castle, nature reserve and riverside walk and to be fair didn’t really need the car! I had regular contact with John via text to see if all was well.

It is incredibly comfy, warm and cosy. The beds are especially comfortable! It is equipped with everything you could possibly need plus a welcome basket on arrival, the contents of which we thoroughly enjoyed! It is perfectly located in terms of shops and walks. The garden is lovely. If you come by electric car, there is a charging point one mile away at McDonalds which is ideal but I did note there is a home charging point being advertised on ZapMaps which was about 10 houses away from Jasmine Cottage. I didn’t actually make use of it but handy to know though. I would recommend Jasmine Cottage without hesitation and will hopefully definitely be going back next year!

However the town is lovely with lots of places to eat within walking distance. Very well situated to tour the coastal towns ( but not RHYL not for us) good size enclosed garden but walls were not high enough to keep our dog in. Lots of lovely walks along the river and to the castle, also very near to nature reserve. Very steep stairs in cottage. Would visit again.

  • "Property was lovely, great facilities and well kitted out."

Property was very clean and well maintained. Spacious rooms with plenty of storage. The only thing missing was a cafetière. Chairs in living room were a bit uncomfortable after sitting in them for a while and the bed was too firm for my liking. Location was great, walking distance to the Main Street. Would recommend the property with no hesitation.

  • "We had a lovely stay in Jasmine Cottage."

A good location for exploring North Wales. We visited most places along the coast including the magnificent Llandudno. Inland Ruthin and Denbigh worth a visit. Dyserth water falls just a few miles up the road are a must! We had a great holiday with our dog! (Nice local walks) The only reason I would not give 5 stars is the view at the front which although did not spoil our holiday at all was not shown at all on the pictures of the cottage (A bit of a scrap yard) The rear views are much nicer. The shower was a bit pitiful which I mentioned to the owner. Despite the unfortunate front views this is still worth staying in and very reasonably priced.

  • "Wow..."

....where do I start !!! What an amazing cottage, firstly for any dog owners I know how important a secure garden is and my pint sized pooch was very safe and had a great time in the wonderful large garden. Also great selection of garden furniture and trust me its a must to sit out enjoy the sun and the absolute piece and quiet. The cottage itself was a home from home, very comfortable and after a couple of days you have to remind yourself you don't live there........ the cottage is kept to a high standard and is very clean, kitchen is a great size and well equipped for cooking. The area itself boosts many beautiful attractions. The river is only a stone throw away and the castle is just a 5 minute walk. Talacre is my beach of choice and this is just a 15-20 min drive. A must is Dyserth Waterfalls only 5 min away and an absolute natural beauty. I can honestly say I didnt find anything that I was unhappy with, oh apart from I had to go home at the end of the week.......Thank you to John for a wonderful holiday. :)

Jasmine cottage is very convenient for the village of Rhuddlan which has local shops, eating places including takeaways as well as two pubs where you may purchase fine meals. The village itself is historically important and has designated "walks" should one be interested. Walk across the bridge and you will find three more eating establishments, takeaway as well as a small nature reserve and a foot path to St Asaph one way and Rhyl the other. Jasmine Cottage certainly did not disappoint us.

  • "Myself, my fiance and our daughter (4) stayed here the last week in July and thought it was amazing."

We were a bit nervous holidaying so soon after covid lockdown was eased but needn't have worried as the cottage was cleaned to a high standard and had a healthy supply of antibacterial gel, handwash, and cleaning wipes/spray. We were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome package with necessities such as tea/eggs/milk/etc. And my daughter was over the moon to find cake and chocolate biscuits. The kitchen was also extremely well supplied and had everything we needed (except eggcups), this was great as I like to cook on holiday. There was a good selection of supermarkets nearby and some brilliant take-out options too. The wifi was brilliant and allowed us to stream shows for my daughter without any problems. Prior to arrival I was a little worried about parking but the cottage is in a lovely spot with plenty of space to park outside. The garden is beautifully kept and really spacious- great for dining outside in the sunny weather (garden furniture available in the shed). There is a Castle and nature reserve within walking distance and a childrens play area in the village. You can head into Rhyl along a beautiful river walk or take a short drive in the car. We visited Towyn, Prestatyn, Rhyl, and Llandudno and only scratched the surface. I would definitely revisit the area as there is so much we missed and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Jasmine Cottage again, it was brilliant.
