Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the south-eastern corner of the Isle of Anglesey, Penmon looks out across the Menai Strait towards the magnificent mountains of Snowdonia. Close by is Puffin Island, where puffins do indeed nest. They, as well as seals and porpoises and many other water fowl can be viewed from a boat trip starting from Beaumaris.
