"A perfect midway base to visit the theatre in Llandudno, climb the Orme, enjoy Conwy and visit a friend on Anglesey."
The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and was the best place to follow the Winter Olympics day by day, complemented by the view from the amazing picture window! Should visitors not be at ease with an Aga there is an air fryer, electric kettle, and electric double plate in the pantry. What3words is certainly the best SatNav App for arriving at the electric gates which provide very good security for one vehicle and the cottage. In the area be aware that tips cannot be added to Contactless payment machines in hotels and cafes, cash tips are therefore very much appreciated. As a solo visitor I felt safe and secure in the fairly isolated Holly Cottage, not least because the owner lives nearby and the family is very helpful. No wonder people book to stay again… I have!

"Holly cottage is a beautiful renovated building, very tastefully furnished situated overlooking a very picturesque valley."
We stayed there for two wonderful weeks. Having stayed in at least 2 dozen Sykes cottages, this is without any doubt rated by us as the best stay so far. Your host Jonathan greets you and explains the use of the Aga, trust me it's easy. As well as the Aga there are induction rings as well etc. The facilities are very well equipped. Jonathan really cares for your needs, general care and wellbeing and is generally a wonderful guy to interface with. The only sad part of our stay was leaving there, however when we return this will be our top place to choose. This is truly a 6 out of 5 star stay. Thank you Jonathan.

The cottage was immaculate, the views were breathtaking, and the welcome hamper was such a thoughtful touch. Every detail had clearly been considered, making our stay perfect.

"A fabulous property, the best we have stayed in."
Beautifully decorated with many personal touches. The view is stunning. The bed is so comfortable, the shower room amazing and the Aga with its whistling kettle was fun. We had a lovely welcome hamper waiting for us on arrival along with fresh flowers throughout the cottage. A truly idyllic place to stay. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you ☺️

"It was a wonderful place , and a stunning location."
The decor and furnishings are first rate . Our host made us feel so welcome . Ee did use the provided bottled water , instead of the tap water , even though it goes through a filter system . I would absolutely recommend this place , as a ‘step off the roundabout and recharge ‘ place !

"We've just returned after a wonderful week in Holly Cottage."
We were met by our lovely host, Jonathan, after we'd arrived and he went through everything with us. The cottage is beautiful, spotless and very well equipped. I was daunted a little by the Aga but needn't have been. There are additional cooking methods provided such as a double hot plate, air fryer, microwave and toaster plus an electric kettle but we chose the Aga. I'm a convert. The private water supply is great. Our hosts had provided bottled water if we weren't happy to drink the water. But it's perfectly safe, having gone through extensive filtration, including UV. And it tastes better than our home supply. The views from the cottage are fabulous. You don't need the Smart TV. Just lose yourself in the view from the picture window in the lounge! The bedroom suite is beautiful and restful, again taking in that wonderful view. There are really good walks from the cottage and you're only a relatively short drive away from the main tourist destinations. We'd highly recommend Holly Cottage to couples who love to be surrounded by nature and views but enjoy being reasonably close to interesting destinations. Thank you Jonathan and Joanne for providing such amazing accommodation and warm welcome. We'll be back. Sandra & Roly

"We had a wonderful week’s holiday in Holly Cottage."
It is definitely the best holiday home that we have stayed in. The setting is idyllic and the cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated. The view from the picture window is amazing! It’s so relaxing just sitting and looking out. The cottage is well equipped. We loved the Aga - especially the whistling kettle. It was lovely that our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. North Wales is a great place to visit with so much to do and see. Can’t wait to go back. I can’t recommend this cottage highly enough.

"A beautifully done up haven of tranquility."
The large picture windows and lovely outdoor seating areas are perfect for looking at the gorgeous view and all the birds that visit. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped and the veey friendly owners make sure you want for nothing. I came for a solo getaway but it would be idyllic for a romantic couples holiday. I can't fault it. I was reluctant to leave and am planning when I can next come! A real privilege and honour to be their first guest

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns to enjoy
