  • "Well presented property which is good for couples as well as families."

    Conveniently located for access to Anglesey as well as the rest of Gwynedd yet quiet and peaceful. Good local information and the maps were very useful when planning our days out. We would definitely recommend Ty Nain for all types of holiday

  • "Ty Nain had everything we could have wanted and more."

    Beautifully clean and fresh bungalow in a quiet village. Lots of thoughtful detailing has gone into the holiday home like all the little extras such as milk, biscuits, tea/ coffee, cleaning products, all the technology in the rooms, extra blankets, log burner, garden furniture, iron, ironing board, hairdryers in all bedrooms. There are lovely walks from the bungalow you can do. There is a fab fish and chip shop 5 min down the road and kebab shop nearby that deliver.

There are lovely walks nearby, and being only a half mile walk from the Anglesey coastal path you can head up along the Menai Straits or down towards Newborough Warren and Traeth Llanddwyn.     Couldn’t fault anything. Clean, modern, lots of kitchen equipment, comfy beds, nice back garden. Situated in a quiet street, well located to access lots of beaches, and Snowdonia within 20-30 minutes. We would love to return when we’re in the area again.

  • "Spotlessly clean, modern and ideally situated."

    Beds lovely and comfortable. Only down side was the back garden no grass for the kids or dog to play on which was covered with slate, the front has grass but no gate to secure kids or dog. if you don't mind this then it is perfect.

    This bungalow was well equipped for our self catering needs in the kitchen. We where comfortable and cosy. The garden was great for the dogs aswell. Easy to find and driveway which provided of road parking.

  • "Situated in a quiet road in an equally quiet village Tŷ Nain is deceptively spacious, comfortable and extremely well equipped."

    Nothing appears to have been overlooked, right down to the USB sockets and Matt and Jane were helpful and responsive when we had what turned out to be a temporary blip with the toaster with another toaster appearing via courier within 24 hours. They were also diligent in both welcoming and making sure our stay was going as well as it possibly could. Tŷ Nain is a little gem. We have already booked to return in October.

  • "We loved our stay in Ty Nain."

    We purposely chose this bungalow as it was a recently modernised property (and in the next village to my brother and sister-in-law). It did not disappoint. It contained everything we needed and more. The beds were comfy, the shower was great and we do like a dishwasher. The back garden was secure for the dog and the picnic table was a nice touch. It is a very quiet village and a good location for exploring Anglesey.

  • "We had a lovely stay, the house is very well equipped and had everything we needed."

    It was nice and clean. The only issue we had was with the front door, the code we were given didn’t work. We used the key from the safe at the back. Wasn’t a problem as the side door was more convenient for unloading the car.

The property

Ty Nain is a contemporary, semi-detached bungalow nestled in the charming village of Dwyran on the Isle of Anglesey.

A short distance from beaches and historical sites, this beautiful property sleeps five in three bedrooms and offers off-road parking, perfect for families and groups wanting a Welsh escape with a four-legged friend.

Enter into a sitting room, made comfortingly warm by a woodburning stove and settle on the soft leather sofas to watch a movie or two on the TV.

Cook up a storm in the beautifully-renovated kitchen/diner and sit around the table to enjoy your culinary exploits or a family games night with your favourite board game from home.

Spend the afternoon running after the dogs in the garden, which is enclosed and furnished with a picnic bench, making the ideal spot on a warm day.

Prepare yourself for bed in the shower room, before sinking into either a double, king-sized or bunk bed to catch your rest.

The local village of Newborough is a couple of miles down the road with access to LLanddwyn Beach and Island.

The Premier store in Newborough makes for a great local shop and the Ddraig Goch petrol station on the main road not far from the house.

Venture out to The White Lion pub for some British cuisine, order some takeaway at The Cod Mother, or wake up bright and early to explore Anglesey in miniature form and have breakfast at Anglesey Model Village & Cafe .

Anglesey is also home to some of the best beaches in Wales, with Trearddur Bay, Church Bay, Benllech Beach, the nearest being Traeth Llanddwyn, and more within easy reach by car.

Make your way to the picturesque town of Menai Bridge for a taste of nature and visit Pili Palas Nature World, a zoo aimed at kids with meerkat, bug and butterfly enclosures, plus an indoor play zone, then Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, a historic estate with three elaborate gardens and a tearoom.

Drive down to Llanberis, a village on the edge of Lake Llyn Padarn and roam around the ruins of Dolbadarn Castle, a dog-friendly site, take a steam train ride along the lake at Llanberis Lake Railway, also dog-friendly, and end the day at the family-friendly The Heights pub with outside seating so you can enjoy your meal in the sun during warmer months.

LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.
