  • "Beautiful house and surroundings Lovely stroll to a pebble beach."

Even though it was wet and windy the house was cosy and warm. Fabulous cooker and gadgets. Showers were lovely and warm and the beds were so comfy Would definitely recommend and would love to revisit when the weather is warmer Thank you

  • "Bryn Derwen is the best accommodation we have stayed in."

The decor is beautiful and the furniture is very comfortable. We were so pleased with it, we have booked for two weeks next September. Anyone not liking this property must be very hard to please. Would recommend it to friends and family. Brenda, Rufus, Sandra and Bruce.

  • "The photographs on Sykes website are not up to date."

On arrival at the property we noticed that the outside walls are covered in green alge, the windows and facias are filthy, the balcony glass was also covered in green alge. The whole place was generally unkempt. Inside of the property wasn't much better, there was a strong smell of dogs, inside windows filthy, cobwebs in every room, carpets not vacuumed, stained kitchen sink, mouldy dish drainer, horrible toaster machine covered in mould, the kitchen cupboards had a mildew smell in them. Worst of all the beds had short black pet hairs in them ! We had to wash the bedding before we could use it ! The two floor mops that were supplied were filthy and smelled really bad I really think that Sykes should inspect and review these properties on a regular basis to check that they are up to standard. We would NOT reccomend this property.

We particularly loved sitting on the balcony & watching the sun go down. We would highly recommend this property to family & friends, and we will definitely come back in the future.

  • "Fantastic holiday and accommodations, the only problem we had was getting free view on the TV."

We went on Free Sat but my blue tooth ear buds would not work with the TV speakers as well. So could not adjust the volume on TV so wife couldn’t hear the TV. ( I am hard of hearing) used ITV X but it was very difficult to navigate to us. We have Sky Q so very different. Probably just us. !! Our dog Bella loved the garden which is safe. Easy access to local beaches and tourists attractions. House was clean and very well equipped for every need. Very comfortable bed to which made us very late getting up.

  • "A lovely holiday cottage in a very peaceful location on the outskirts of Valley."

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Stunning views from the balcony across the bay to the Port and out to sea. Great little beach to walk the dog, not too busy and only 5 minute walk. Garden is very secure and great for our dog to have a run around. Local shops are a few minutes drive in Valley but larger stores are a 10 minute drive towards Holyhead. The nearby Penrhos Coastal Park is a must for a lovely walk and to see the Red Squirrels. South Stack is good for Puffins until the end of July and quite a few resident rare Choughs. We filled the bird feeders in the garden at the cottage and enjoyed watching the various visitors popping in to feed. Had to replenish quite a few times, word had got out. Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Bryn Derwen.

  • "What an absolute gem."

The cottage us about as perfect as it could be for family breaks and perfect for exploring North Anglesey, although whole island is no more than 40 minutes away. Brilliant decor, layout, equipment all went to make a fab weekend away as a family of adults. With first grandchild on way later this year we will be returning but the layout of the cottage makes it perfect for this as well. Kitchen superbly equipped and welcome pack was lovely. Lots of nice touches such as pic-nic rugs and blankets, cool bag, rucksack, games and doggy friendly stuff. Satellite/digital TV meant even bad weather didn't spoil things. Great location, quiet and relaxing, and amazing sunsets from the balcony when weather plays along. All local facilities just 5 minutes away in Valley with 'BIG' supermarkets only 10 minutes in Holyhead. The Seashanty and White Eagle are great restaurants (very dog friendly but great even without 4 legged friends). In all a fantastic holiday cottage, ideal for families and dogs with secure garden area. Highly recommended.

  • "Stunning property with a large garden."

Loved the balcony with the sea view , had breakfast on the balcony every morning. Garden was perfect for the dogs. Lovely home , was absolutely perfect and we just didn't want to leave , we would have booked for another week if it was available. Beach in walking distance , shops are a 5 minute drive and many beaches nearby. Considering moving to this area and would love to find a house identical to bryn derwen. • "This was an absolutely fantastic cottage."

Perfect for us in every way. the outside seating area thats raised up with views of the port and the coast was amazing. Thank you so much for making our stay there so enjoable. The little touches were the making of the stay.

  • "A very last minute break, and a good choice, the cottage was very clean and tidy ,nice little welcome pack waiting for us, all the white goods, cooker, air fryer, microwave easy to use."

The lights in the hallway and master bedroom are low ,I'm 6'2" and kept banging in to with my head so just take care. The bed in the master bedroom or the one with the en-suit is comfy but only a double, the listing contradict itself saying double in one and a king size in another. The cottage says sleeps 7 which it does but we where 4 adults and comfy, anymore would be a squeeze. The garden was really lovely just grass but great to sit out which we did for 4 fantastic days of sun ,eating our meals out there, making the most of the sun. To a responsible dog owner I would say it is dog friendly, with the gates shut. As our dog loved running around freely. There are bird feeders on a tree by the gate, worth buying bird
