The delightful village of Allerston is situated on the edge of the Forge Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 4 miles from the market town of Pickering and 12 miles from the seaside resort of Scarborough. The village main street is lined with pretty stone cottages, with a stream meandering down the side into the Derwent River nearby.
