  • "Having stayed in many different forms of holiday accommodation over the years, we have seen many different standards."

The house while vast needs an awful lot of work doing to it to make it somewhere people would choose, especially when you consider the amount it costs for the week. Whilst some of the refurb has been done, there are many aspects that with little outlay would have made the houses unfinished appearance acceptable. Yes bed linen and towels were provided but there were no cushions to the large sofa for the back and the other two were so worn you sank into them and struggled to get out. The house was cold especially in the evening, which was due to both having windows that were broken and doors that needed repair or replacement. There were no instructions for anything in the property, and no welcome pack so the basics were unavailable such as dishcloth, dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid and bin bags. We had to assume which bin to use, as no explanation regarding general waste and recycling. Curtains did not all fit the windows and some rooms did not have any or a blind. Making privacy an issue for some of us. Overall a disappointment, and somewhere we wouldn’t recommend.
