  • "We had a very relaxing week in this lovely cottage which is in a very beautiful and peaceful location."

    The log burner and dishwasher are excellent features and definitely add to the comfort of the home from home feel of the property. Overall cleanliness could be improved upon and the cooker should be updated because it is clearly very old and not very efficient (nor easy to keep clean). The bathroom is lovely but the extractor is not powerful enough for the size of the room which is affecting the decor. Beds were very comfortable and the little extras like logs for the burner, milk and kitchen roll were all appreciated. Having the laundry was also a plus so we could wash and dry as we went through the week. Some guidance on rubbish disposal would have been useful but we managed and hopefully got it right. Daisy the dog loved her week there too. We are discussing returning for another week of relaxation at North Farm Cottages in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Relaxed and peaceful cosy cottage retreat!"

    If you’re looking for a cottage to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then this is it. Located in a tranquil little village and within easy reach of all the coastal towns and villages and lovely North Yorkshire market towns it’s a great location to explore this stunning part of the country. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need and sitting in front of a roaring fire in the evening with a glass of wine perfectly ended the days. Made for a great family getaway and would highly recommend.

  • "Porchway to front door was littered with leaves and the front door itself needed cleaning."

    There were cigarette butts under the wisteria plant and the outside gardens were overgrown. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the cottage. The glass on the oven door was detached so unable to use. The cleanliness was poor with dust and stains. Disappointing for the price

  • "Sadly the boiler wasnt working so we contacted Sykes who contacted the cottage manager who helped us move houses."

    Not convenient and we wasted 3 hours of our stay doing this. As for the house it was okay though bit basic

Kirkbymoorside 2.5 miles; Pickering 10 miles; Helmsley 9 miles.

The pretty village of Fadmoor, dotted with old stone cottages, nestles amidst the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park, 2.5 miles from the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside. Kirkbymoorside is a charming place with a slightly 'old fashioned feel', and visitors will find plenty to keep them occupied in the many tea rooms, pubs and restaurants there. There is even an 18 hole course for golf enthusiasts. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the National Park are on the doorstep, and there are many picturesque villages, such as Hutton-le-Hole, close by.
