  • "Really modern and comfortable apartment, kitchen has all the modern appliances and the bathroom was very modern and clean."

The only down side was there wasn't enough crockery to be able to fill the dish washer.

    Mrs Marilyn OliverMar 2025

  • "Very well equipped ground floor apartment, went towards a pleasant weeks stay in the Bay, any problem soon resolved, using the convenient bus service to neighbouring resorts with many eateries and pubs and not worry about driving was a bonus, also the bracing local walks around and to Filey was good, So thank you for the stay and treats."

    Mr Roy SmithMar 2025

  • "There was only a couple of negatives."

One was the bed, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The second one was the amount of noise coming the apartment above (which is no fault of Rosie’s retreat) . The first night was fine absolutely silence as no one was in the apartment above but the 2nd and 3rd night the noise was ridiculous up until 9:30/10pm. You could hear every foot step and the light fittings on the ceilings were vibrating due to this . I managed to stay until Saturday night but then left around 6pm and I’d booked until Monday .

    Mr Kieron ComleyMar 2025

  • "Excellent size and quality for two and the dog, good well kept site would return in the future."

    Mr John RoweFeb 2025

  • "Beautiful home from home PERFECT!"

Only one negative that I'm sure the owners are unaware of the duvet, pillows and mattress protector are very badly stained in need of a replacement or Clean.

  • "We really enjoyed staying at Rosies Retreat."

Beautifully decorated flat, massive Smart TV, good wi-fi, very clean, warm and the bed was soooo comfortable. The welcome/goody bag was a nice touch, and we really enjoyed using the pass for the gym/swimming pool/sauna etc. We took our dog and there's loads of space for a dog bed in the main room and a big hallway to clean their feet etc after going for a walk on the lovely meadow (50 metres away) or on the massive beach. Would highly recommend.

FILEY

Scarborough 7.7 miles; Bridlington 10.5 miles.

Set in the magnificent Filey Bay, Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making it an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round. The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels and there is a slipway where local fishermen keep their boats, plus delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months. The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon. This small town is family orientated and there are loads of family activities such as Alpamare UK waterpark, Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park and the Filey Dams Nature Reserve, a wetland reserve where all kinds of common and rare birdlife can be seen. A short drive brings you to the busier town of Scarborough where you will find great beaches, a castle, the Rotunda Museum and the acclaimed Sea Life Centre. Other towns worth visiting close to Filey include Bridlington, Whitby, Hornsea and Saltburn, which all demonstrate the vibrancy of this picturesque North Yorkshire region.
