  • "A lovely, cosy clean property, central to everywhere, loved it as our base."

We had trouble with the heating control, not paired with the boiler but my husband sorted it! Loved the window seats and watching Flamborough people busy all day long. Shame about The Ship inn being closed and then also The Royal dog and duck closed on the Friday night we were there!

Thank you for your review. sorry you had trouble with the heating it should have been in good working.order. I only found out last week about the pubs closing, hope there not closed for too long but there are still 3 or 4 others in the village to choose from. Regards Gail Property Owner

  • "Comfortable, well equipped apartment in good location."

WiFi a little patchy especially in the bedroom. While no designated parking this wasn’t a problem for us.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at the apartment and I've already recommended it to friends."

Everything you need and just the right size for two people. In a way I wish we hadn't crammed so much in to our trip so that we could have relaxed a bit more in the apartment! Perfect location for exploring the coast. Highlights for us were: Sewerby Hall for the parkrun...Bondville Model Village...the coast at Flamborough Head where we got to see a couple of puffins up close...and admiring the gannets at Bempton Cliffs. Thank you very much for letting us stay in your beautiful, spotless and well appointed apartment. Hopefully we'll be back one day.

Thank you so much for your 5* review. Glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to you returning for a further stay, you would be more than welcome. Property Owner

  • "No problems, pleasant , warm flat , handily situated."

Good firm bed , well equipped kitchen. The micra wave is a nightmare to use I was an engineer for years but did not manage it ! Who needs a gym when you can go and fight all those fire doors with 2 bits of luggage in your hands . Henry .

Thank You for your feed back on your recent stay at The Rocket. The manuals for the appliances are in the kitchen drawer but i know what you mean about the microwave its always by chance that i manage to get my head around how it works. It definately does work though we used it a couple of weeks ago. A very powerful microwave too. Sorry about the flight of stairs, bit by bit is the answer. It is only one flight but again if you are struggling with cases it can be difficult. A lovely cool beer afterwards always does the job. Thank you again for your booking and hope you may return one day. Property Owner

About the location

FLAMBOROUGH

Bridlington 4 miles; Filey 7 miles; Scarborough 18 miles.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.
