"We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Brewer’s cottage."
First impressions are that the cottage was much bigger than we expected, and so lovely and warm from the first moment we walked in. The beds were comfy and we had a Good night sleep. A kitchen/dining room separate from the lounge was lovely and allowed for a more cosy feel. WiFi was excellent as was the supply of tea, coffee, biscuits etc. the staff at the pub were lovely and friendly and the food was amazing. Having a dog, their comfort and security was also important and the enclosed garden and provision of dog bowls was appreciated, although you do need to be outside with your dog due to the low walls (but they are your responsibility). Thank you for a lovely, relaxing weekend - we will definitely be back soon

"We have been to this property before, but it has gone downhill."
I realise that it is dog-friendly (I don't have a problem with this), but the property had not been appropriately cleaned, and my husband's jumper was covered in dog hair. The minute you walk in, you are greeted by an aroma of dogs; in fact, there was a dog bowl and open dog biscuits in one of the cupboards. The property needs a thorough deep clean. The seats in the lounge are only suitable for the skip. The kitchen is short on cooking utensils, and the oven is unusable due to being covered in grease. I have mentioned this before, and was promised that it would be cleaned. I tried to connect to the free wifi without success. I had to go over to the New Inn to be told that it was the wrong one in the book, and there was no apology. I do have to say a thank you for the welcome pack and toiletries; however, these did little to enhance the overall standards. We have visited Cropton many times, but we certainly won't be returning to this property again.

"A lovely cottage with walks from the door."
Great location for exploring the area. We appreciated the welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk on arrival. The cottage was spotless and cosy and we look forward to a return visit. ♥️

"Brewers cottage was a lovely place it was so cool in the heat of the week ..."
Brewers cottage was a lovely place it was so cool in the heat of the week comfortable and doggies loved it 2 little things that could be improved was the garden could do with a fence around it as the wall was quite low and my lurcher kept escaping and the toilet was very low could have done with a grab rail other than that perfect

"Lovely cottage and well equipped."
Could benefit from a bit of a make over internally to freshen up the decor.

"Upon entering brewers cottage the drains smelt in the kitchen & also in the bathroom sink."
There was 2 inches of dust everywhere, the bathroom skirtings & around toilet disgusting. No loo roll holder, towel rail not big enough for bath towels & wonky. Bathroom taps & shower dial covered in limescale, not enough toilet rolls out, no liquid soap in bathroom or kitchen. No anti slip mat in bath as shower over was very slippery & dangerous, bottom of the shower curtain was black absolutely disgusting. The duvet on double bed was filthy, the duvet cover was torn in places along the top. No landing lights worked, there were 3 .No spare bulbs. It was very cold downstairs, the portable electric heater didn't work & one wheel had fallen off it, so it was unstable too. The information book had nothing in it at all about the cottage only the village. Even the wifi code was just written on a scrap of paper. The whole cottage needs a VERY VERY deep clean and thought given to the basic hygiene requirements. We had to buy a few items ourselves, which are normally provided such as loo rolls, liquid soap, dish cloths, anti slip bath mat. This is the worst holiday cottage we have ever stayed in.
