"Very comfortable cottage, albeit small and took us time to adjust!"
Bagged the armchair, very comfy. Only drawback was shower pressure rather weak, but all in all, we had an enjoyable week

"The cottage is in a lovely setting and at first arriving all is good."
But a few points, no decent lighting in the main bedroom by the mirror to do your hair and makeup etc. Only one small shelf under the mirror in this bedroom, just not adequate. No long mirror either. Second room although it is a single presumed to be for a child, my sister used this room and there is no mirror or shelf. Another point is no hooks behind doors for dressing gowns etc. No hanging for tea-towells in the kitchen section. No bins in the bathroom or bedrooms, the black bags provided did not fit in the only bin in the cottage which was the kitchen section

"Overall the holiday park is very pleasant and well kept; there were however three specific problems that detracted from our cottage accommodation;
1) The wi-fi connection is mediocre and with regular Intermittent failures; I believe this is a problem affecting the whole village, not just Orchard Farm
2) The light level in the sitting area is poor due to the overgrown shrubs outside that virtually cover the whole main window."
3) Despite switching it off on the wall it was almost impossible to completely close down the central heating (In August!)

"Fantastic site, Orchard Farm."
Moment we arrived receptionist Anne made us very welcome. Site landscaping superbly maintained. We had a fantastic relaxing week. Locals in the village very friendly and Dave and Holly at the Horseshoe were great host's, and run a great public house. My wife and I thoroughly recommend Lupin cottage and would not hesitate in returning.

"A really nice and cosy cottage."
Lots of room for two people. Great central heating and electric fire. Basic facilities but all really clean and tidy. Located in a park with lots of space to walk the dog, and with a small fishing pond (I forgot to bring my rod this time round). A five minute walk from the centre of Hunmanby with lots of amenities including pubs, a fish and chips shop, Chinese takeaway, and small Co-Op supermarket. There's even a single malt distillery and brewery nearby. The beach at Filey is a 5 minute drive away.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

"Lupin cottage was a lovely little place, adequate for our needs and a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside."
Orchard farm holiday site was very nice though the lighting around the site was very dim and for people with dogs having to walk them at night, we felt that the lighting could be improved. There was a corner sectioned off especially for dogs, but the entrance to it was very muddy, so maybe this could be rectified some way in the future.
All,in all, we had a lovely holiday and might consider going back again

Lupin cottage is ideally placed for visiting this area of Yorkshire and Hunmanby has a train station that lets you travel further afield if you require
Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 restrictions all the amenities of the holiday camp were not available which is fully understandable
There is a pub only a 5 minute stroll from the cottage (the horseshoe) which serves excellent food and drink with a very pleasant staff another further 10 minutes brings you into the village which has all the services you will need
During our stay we had some excellent weather which allowed us to explore extensively all in all a great holiday

Not far from the coast lovely village plenty of pubs due to covoid unable to take dogs inside but this wasn’t a problem for us. "The cottage was not clean enough."
For the amount we paid we expect the basics to be included. We only had one toilet roll for 3 days (we had to ask for more), and there was no soap in the bathroom. When we asked for some we were told it was self catering so was not included in the price, we then had to go out and buy some.
We also didn't have control of the heating, which was run from a main central boiler. It came on twice a day and we had to ask for it to be put on continuous as it was freezing in the cottage. We paid over £100 a night for the cottage and it was cold.

"We had to cut our holiday short by two days due to the mattress on both beds being so old that we could feel the springs in our backs which caused my back to go into a muscle spasm I am registered disabled hence the reason for booking a bungalow, also the sheets and towels smelt stale and old which they were being so thin and unclean."
The very least we would expect are good comfortable beds and clean bedding and towels, we have stayed in many holiday cottages over the country and have never had any issues, also the help from Sykes hasn't been there for us still waiting for a phone call.

"The cottage was lovely and so very clean."
They had left a welcome pack which had dishwasher tabs in, hunted high and low but no dishwasher .. didnt ruin holiday though! My only point would be the swimming pool closed at 16:00hrs which was a real pain, we were too late on two occasions and on one only managed 15 mins before it closed. We were exploring the area and it would have been so much nicer if the pool could have been open to 18:00 or even 17:00hrs. Holiday Village was lovely, setting perfect for travelling around and as mentioned cottage was perfect.
