Price Match Guarantee

If you find a cheaper price anywhere online, we’ll refund you the difference.

Price Match Guarantee

If you find your online booking of this property through Sykes cheaper on another website and you meet the conditions below, let us know and we will pay you an amount equal to the difference in price.

Conditions:

The other offer that you could have booked on another website on the same day that you made your Sykes’ booking is identical to it – it is the same specific property, the same check-in and check-out dates, for the same number of guests and it has got the same, or better for guests, cancellation terms.

The other offer is cheaper than your Sykes’ booking when you ignore all optional extras on both and all vouchers, discount codes, gift cards, loyalty, reward or other type of membership or repeat business schemes and any generic promotion on the other offer.

Within 7 days of making your Sykes’ booking you have provided us with evidence of the other offer that is acceptable to Sykes (for example, a screenshot, print out or picture of the full details of the other offer from the point in the booking journey when all that’s left to do is pay) together with its cancellation terms.

This guarantee only applies to a property when you see it advertised on the property listing when you make your booking.

How to claim:

Send the evidence we’ve asked for above to pricematch@sykescottages.co.uk along with your booking reference.

We’ll check if it qualifies for our Price Match Guarantee.

If it does, we will pay you the relevant difference within 14 days. That’s it!

  • "Beautifully refurbished cottage, lovely setting, but oh dearie me it was not a comfy, clean cottage by any means."

The beds are rock hard and the twin singles are way too small for anyone over 8, I turned over and fell hurting my side on the lamp table so I went to the double and had to fold up the duvet to make the mattress less hard and use the single duvet as a cover, long sleepless nights followed. The cooker hob was a disgrace with grease simply smeared all over with a damp cloth, I wouldn't have used it if you'd paid me, nor did I even look in the oven or grill. The shower room has no blind and even though there is opaque glass you can still see in with the light on, there is no shower door so the water would simply splash everywhere as was witnessed by the water marks all over the radiator, tiles ets, the one shower panel was filthy, as was the wash hand basin, the toilet looked none too promising either. Nothing sparkled, nothing inspired confidence that it had indeed been cleaned and sanitised, such a disappointment, felt let down in a way, it's not cheap to stay here and I expected better.

  • "It was clear to see that Lupin Cottage has been newly renovated to a very good standard and the pictures on the website need updating to show how much better it looks inside now, but if you look up orchid cottage it looks pretty much the same."

The shower was fine, but maybe could do with a slip mat. The beds are now all divan bases and the second bedroom actually has two singles beds in it not just one, The tv was great and wi-fi worked fine but sofa might be too low for some people. The bingo was great to play on Saturday night and overall a good place to stop and a great base for visiting all the seaside towns.

  • "Disappointed the shower had no door therefore showers not available."

No seat in shower for the elderly. Only 1 tea towel and had to buy washing up liquid. Television position to high for elderly, more suitable for younger people. Overall happy with our stay at Lupin Cottage

  • "First, bathroom, the glass partion for shower was dirty, mould at top of window, on windowsill was one small shaving mirror, no other mirrors available in any room, A small coffee table would be fine to sit beside the sofa."

There was no cleaning products available, especially for the bathroom. The property next door was being renovated, so we had the workmen from 8.30am a lot of talking, music, and noise from their equipment, I think, some reimbursement should be available for this property, It was not exactly peaceful.

Would like to have had a blind on bathroom window apart from that small detail we couldn't fault the cottage at all . Hopefully will be back for another stay .

  • "Beautiful cottage."

But pictures need updating. Still showing had washer dryer, which it doesn't. So didn't take as many clothes as I would of. No coffee table but when leaving mentioned it and said they are getting some. Also only a tiny mirror in the bathroom again said looking at getting full length one. Stayed at this site for 20 years. And the new outdoor seating area is a fab addition. Beds are best slept in. All good quality furnishings. We will be back next year

  • "We have used this property before."

Clean comfortable and ideal location. It is looking a bit tired this year. Lots of work being done in other cottages. A teapot and a nonslip shower mat would be useful. Otherwise a cozy place to stay.

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage."

Very pleased with stay. A bit dark at night near access to cottages. The only real concern was when looking for somewhere to stay I asked for wi-fi available but it only works for a few hours a day. Also the campsite Web site states onsite bar facility what it doesn't say is it's only open two nights otherwise a very pleasant stay

  • "Basic cottage in a good location."

Situated on a private caravan park which is well maintained and tidy. Nice play area for the kids and a lake where you can have some peace. Allocated parking bay. The cottage itself was cosy and adequate but could do with some TLC. Smelt damp, mould on bathroom and bedroom ceilings/walls. Beds were very comfy. Wi-Fi was very poor. Hunmanby village is within walking distance where you’ll find a few shops and pubs.
