  • "Lovely cottage in great setting"

  • "Positives were the location suited us, Wi-Fi, dishwasher and dog friendly."

Relatively inexpensive for the sleeping space. As mentioned by others, interior sorely needs updating but as it’s for sale unlikely in the short term. Seating, beds and bedding particularly low standard. Mini sinks in all shower rooms. First accommodation (of many) we’ve booked without even a tea bag left. Maybe helpful if the site should state if no welcome items provided? Suggest remove or edit the guest file. Little information of relevance, eg tells you how to clean your teeth using little water and government guidelines state you strip your bed?! I couldn’t find any such government information online.

  • "Layout perfect."

Sea viewed from car park lovely, sadly the road to access beach eroded away, hence nearest place we found to walk on the beach a 10 min drive away, Withensea. Overall, the cottage could do with some tlc. Shower trays were black round the tray sealant and the ensuite I had, the water wasn't running away due to a collection of hair which made using it off putting. The ensuite sinks could have been bigger as the shelf above them made them awkward to use. The tall lamp in the corner of the lounge was propped up against the wall, so needs replacing. However..., that said...., the owner was very pleasant when I spoke with him, and we had a nice quiet stay. The day i arrived the For Sale Board for the 5 cottages went up, so as the owner is selling, I would conclude financially there would be no financial gain or point in doing any upgrading, hence why I would understand giving the cottage some tlc would no doubt be pointless.

  • "Had a lovely break."

Very impressed by the cottage, had everything we needed. Would recommend that both double beds have new mattresses as these were getting to the "feeling the springs" stage. However this did not impede our stay as we were able to find sweet spots on each one. Would definitely go again, and speaking to holiday makers in next cottage, they said the same. Thankyou for a great, much needed break.

Only two minor complaints - my elderly Mum found the bed a bit hard and the Wi-Fi connection wasn’t great.

Property was clean. Unfortunately there was no welcome tea, coffee or biscuits but Tesco was about 10min away so it wasn't a big deal. Kids enjoyed nearby beach and walks. Only negative was the beds were noisy.

We booked to visit family in Holderness but found a really tranquil cottage and wished we had booked for longer. We will be going back.

  • "The accommodation was really comfortable and there was everything we needed, only improvement we can suggest is in the bathrooms."

The addition of a small shelf to place your "bits & bobs" and a mat in the shower. The shower can be quite slippy after use and the addition of a shower mat could eliminate a potentially nasty accident.

  • "Daisy nook is a lovely cottage set in a quiet area."

The cottage was well laid out with three great ensuite double rooms. There are only a few things that I would say could be improved. A cordless vacuum or similar plus mop. A mirror upstairs. The en-suite bathrooms could do with a shelf for toiletries. The sink upstairs is far too small and awkward as it’s in a corner. Some plastic cups/cutlery/plates wouldn’t go amiss for little people. You cannot walk to the sideside from the cottage. Seaside lane now ends to a dead end due to coastal erosion. you will need to drive into withernsea but it is free to park in market street car park near the leisure centre. 10 min drive away. 30 mins to Hornsea and 1hr to Bridlington. There is a slimline dishwasher and ample room in the fridge. The freezer is a bit smaller. We were a party of 4 adults and two children and had plenty of room. Issues were cleared up straight away with a quick email. We would stay again. Thanks

Good for day trips. Quiet except for farm traffic

  • "Good accommodation in very quiet location, lovely to have all ensuite facilities however the fridge freezer was far too small for accommodation for 6 adults."

By the way the owner has changed the name to Tunstall Cottages ( not Manor Farm) which confused the Sainsbury delivery man!

  • "We really enjoyed our short stay."

The weather was fairly kind to us and we made the most of the area for walking. We walked along the cliff top ( access through the big caravan park as the cliff & road had/is eroding making it difficult to access the cliff/beach at the closest point to the house. We had everything we needed. It was disappointing that some of the local places to eat weren’t fully open or were fully booked but we were able to find good places in Withensea and surrounding areas. Very quiet place to stay and easy to visit other places such as Hornsea and Beverley, just a short drive away

Water went off and took approximately 3 phone calls to sort despite us telling owners exact details of error and what actions we had taken felt they didn't believe us. A note explaing how to get extra hot water was left on door of boiler whilst we were out for the day but problem not resolved. Also first day of using upstairs shower there was a leak resulting in the water coming through the ceiling.
