  • "Excellent location in the centre of Pickering yet very quiet."

The house was very well equipped with extremely comfortable beds. The garden was an unexpected bonus, especially as the weather was so wonderful and we felt we could have been somewhere in the Mediterranean! Would thoroughly recommend this property.

  • "Lovely house, at the top of a very pretty, quiet road."

Parking is limited, but we were lucky to get a space all week. Lovely walk through the churchyard into lovely town and onto the NYMR station. The house is spacious and comfortable and the pretty garden a veritable suntrap. Pickering is well placed for exploring Yorkshire, many lovely places are within easy reach, including York, Castle Howard, Malton, Helmsley and the coastal towns of Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes. Lovely scenery on the nearby moors. All in all a lovely place to recharge the batteries !!

  • "The property was perfect for our stay over Easter."

The location of the house is great and parking outside was always available.(if needed, the parking pass for the carpark down the road is a very helpful back-up). The house is perfect for two families to get together, it was very clean, well equipped and with a beautiful garden- the beds very comfortable too! The basket of goodies on arrival was a lovely gesture. Overall a lovely place to get away and a great base if you want to head to the coast for the day.

  • "We had a lovely time at 22 Hallgarth."

We all agreed that we would love to live in this house, it was just perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very tastefully decorated. The open plan living area was very good, the kitchen was very well equipped and wee particularly enjoyed the log burner which was very welcome after a long day sightseeing. 22 Hallgarth was situated a stones throw from Pickering Town Centre and it took no time at all to walk through the churchyard and into the town centre. There were lots of very good restaurants nearby and plenty of pubs. Such a lovely Market Town. Parking was very easy, we used the nearby public car park which was very close and very safe with the complimentary parking permit. We would not hesitate to recommend 22 Hallgarth to anyone, couples or families alike.

  • "A super family get together in a lovely holiday home, 22 Hallgarth is very clean, comfortable and well equipped, it is in a perfect location just a two minute stroll for all the pubs eateries and shops in Pickering."

There’s free parking outside the property and we managed to get a spot most days on our return from a day out sight seeing but when not available there’s a pass for a near by car park. Pickering is a great place to stay with super places to visit, moors, coast, towns and village’s a week was just not long enough and we can not wait to return.

  • "A great home in a great location."

The place was modern, clean and had all we needed for a great family holiday. The garden is gorgeous and was brilliant to relax in while giving the children a great space to play. Highly recommended!

  • "The house was very comfortable and had most of what is needed."

There was a shortage of coat hangers but the owner was going to sort that out after our stay. The previous Sykes property we stayed at had a lot of local information and a large collection of books which we find is useful and welcomed in a holiday home.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at a pretty perfect cottage."

It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and to top it all the sun shone! It was in a great location with just a 40 minute drive to some lovely beaches - runswick bay, hunmanby gap etc. We enjoyed it so much we’d definitely book again.
