  • "This is a very nice house in a pretty remarkable position."

The house is beautifully presented, and kept very well. Yes, the approach, the drive and stairs are steep as advised, but my elderly father managed to get up and down them. I was very pleased with the very sharp knives in the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay very much and I can highly recommend

  • "It's a beautifully situated house with fantastic views."

The house is very well equipped and has amazing facilities. We particularly enjoyed the themed rooms, luxurious bathrooms, garden and hot tub. Lots to do and see in the area. We had a wonderful holiday.

  • "Lovely, lovely house in a splendid setting."

I felt we could sense the history of the valley, you could imagine you were a character from Gentleman Jack, wandering down the hill. The owners was nice and helpful as well, we would certainly head back there again. The location was very good, less than 10 mins into Halifax where there's lots to do but also very rural, with lots of farms and small tracks to explore (running) Its all very steep tho, but that's the part of Yorkshire for you. The hot tub is nice also with a great view of Shibden Valley. The Pub at the bottom of the hill is also excellent.

  • "Lee House farm was a great place to reunite my family flying into Manchester from USA and Dubai for Christmas."

Stephen and Wendy were most helpful prior to my visit and Robertshaw’s Farmshop was certainly the place to find for all food shopping. The house was beautifully decorated for the festive season and very well appointed for our mainly adult party of ten. Stephen even went above and beyond by supplying an extra TV box so my grandsons could watch the football! The one morning we awoke to sunshine gave us an idea of just what a beautiful location, looking across a valley, the farmhouse commands. Certainly an area to visit again in Spring or Summer!

Thanks for the wonderful feedback Sue. So glad you chose us for your festive family reunion. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon - perhaps a long weekend for your 80th celebrations? Property Owner

  • "After struggling through storm Babette ,Lee House Farm certainly was a most wonderful " port in a storm " ."

A lovely welcome pack awaited us which was much appreciated . The house feels like a much loved home with it's grand & comfortable decor throughout . Lovely bedding & towels, everywhere beautifully clean . The kitchen is an amazing warm space to cook & socialise in. Stephen was easily contactable by phone for further instruction using the Everhot range- which I had mastered by the end of the weekend . Instructions had already been sent & I would definitely recommend reading them before you arrive. The hot tub area is brilliant with it's stunning views & the walk down through the fields was enjoyed by all , especially our dog. I can't speak highly enough of this holiday home & would certainly recommend & hope to return ourselves . Friendly neighbours.

We're so pleased that you had such a lovely time at Lee House Farm! Thank you for the great feedback! Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Lee House Farm for a long weekend away with friends and 7 children."

The house was absolutely perfect with everything we needed to keep the adults and children entertained. Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen and endless bathrooms made for a very comfortable and hassle free stay. The conservatory room is lovely in the evening with fairy lights creating a relaxing environment for dinner. The hot tub is a fantastic addition and we were lucky enough to have blue skies with stunning views but it would still have been lovely whatever the weather. The hosts were also brilliant, communication before arriving and during our stay was great including some foolproof directions and lots of information about the house and surrounding area. Any query we had was answered straight away and Wendy went above and beyond to assist us. Excellent hosts all round! Would recommend to anyone with large groups whatever age.

We're delighted that you had everything you needed at Lee House Farm, and particularly that you enjoyed the fairy lights in the conservatory and the hot tub! Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Lee House Farm."

The host was welcoming and provided a lovely touch with the welcome hamper on arrival. The house itself is beautiful and spacious. The large kitchen, conservatory/dining area were great rooms to cook, congregate and dine! The little secret maize tucking the hot tub was a great surprise as you come out to it and see the spectacular views of Shibden Valley... amazing! We hope to return!

We're so glad that you had a lovely stay and enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful views! We would love to welcome you back again. Property Owner

  • "This is a fantastic property, there is so much space both in and outdoors!"

The hosts are offsite but were super helpful both before and during our stay. The land with the house is simply beautiful, we walked through the beautiful fields, met the sheep and went down to the pond where you will find seating and a firepit. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed iv ever slept in! The bedding and towels are luxury and the free-standing bath was the icing on the cake! We hired a private chef for the weekend, he spoke very highly of the kitchen appliances, storage and fridge space and had all the utensils etc needed to cater for 15 of us. There are lots of little touches like children's books in the bunk bed rooms, books of interest for the adults, DVDs, beautiful furnishings and a great guest handbook that all just adds at 'home from home' feeling. I would highly recommend this property and we will stay again in the future.
