The property

A superb detached annexe in the grounds of the owner's home close to the centre of the cathedral city of Ripon.

This charming property has been furnished to a very high standard providing an ideal base for a couple.

Set over two floors, the property includes a cosy, open plan living space, featuring a compact kitchen and area to sit and enjoy a romantic meal for two or snuggle up and enjoy a film.

This quality self-catering annexe is on one of the most desirable roads in Ripon, where some of the oldest buildings and structures in the city are located, including a Grade II listed clock tower, which was built in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

Access to a number of walking routes can also be found along this road, and the city centre is only a five minute walk away.

Ripon is dominated by a beautiful cathedral, which is open everyday and is well worth spending a couple of hours exploring all that it offers.

Also found in Ripon are the Yorkshire Law & Order Museums, craft markets, a number of shops and pubs, specialist cinema, a racecourse, a park and excellent riverside and canal walks.

The well-known Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden are within walking distance along the banks of the River Skell, and within driving distance are Harrogate, York and both the stunning Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks.

A wonderful holiday base in an excellent location, with plenty to see and do at whatever time of year!

Dominated by its imposing cathedral, the historic city of Ripon has a great deal to offer visitors - the Cathedral with its 1300 year old crypt, the Yorkshire Law & Order Museums, various craft markets, an International Music Festival and Ripon Races; not to mention the many beautiful riverside and canal walks. Even the famous Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden are within walking distance along the banks of the River Skell and it is just a few miles to the popular Lightwater Valley Theme Park. The historic houses of Norton Conyers and Newby Hall & Gardens are also close by. If you do feel the need to get in the car and explore, Ripon is ideal for touring both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, not to mention Harrogate, Knaresborough and York too!
