  • "Such a gorgeous property to stay in, situated in a lovely peaceful environment which is perfect for nice walks."

The property was very dog friendly, very cosy, and had everything we needed. The owners were lovely and Debra was super helpful. It was really handy having the EV charger on site, and the cost to charge the car was very reasonable. We'll definitely look to stay here again and recommend it to others!

Thank you so much! What a lovely review. All we hope for is that people are glad they chose to stay here so this is great. x Property Owner

  • "We had a great stay at Granary loft with our Labrador."

Perfect place to take your dog. Beautiful surrounding area with lots of lovely walks. The loft was so clean no dog smells. They’ve thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I always take my own cleaning products, condiments, tea coffee etc. didn’t need them everything was there. It was like home from home. It’s warm and cosy, we slept really well. Nice to get up to the cows mooing and the lovely wildlife. The down stairs area is such a bonus to clean your dogs off and leave foot wear and coats. Also a torch for night walks. There’s also a lovely dog friendly pub in the village the Forge, good food and you can take it away too. We left Easter Sunday and with the clocks going forward asked if we could maybe check out at 11. It wasn’t a problem with no one staying till Monday, the owners said we could leave anytime. Also the welcome pack is a nice touch the fresh eggs were delicious also lovely flowers. Thank you a lovely stay

It was a pleasure to have you. Thanks so much for the lovely comments. Perhaps see you again one day. Regards Debra & Mark Property Owner

Bella & Maddie also thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The room at the bottom of the stairs is brilliant, no more walking stuff through the property. Hope to be back later in the year. Thanks again. ,

The layout was fab for us and the utility area as you come in is great when you have dogs, somewhere to clean them before going upstairs to the living area. We hope to return later in the year when the weather is dryer to explore the surrounding woodlands. Great hosts with plenty of local knowledge.

  • "What a lovely place to stay and explore the sites around this part of Yorkshire."

The owners have done a fantastic job on making sure you have everything you need for your stay. They are friendly and very welcoming and will call in to have a chat with you to make sure everything is ok. The photos do not do it justice. The bed is big and very comfortable we had a fantastic nights sleep after our days out. It is a working farm so expect some noise and activity in a morning. For us this was not a problem and having the cattle letting you know they wanted their breakfast was rather amusing (7.30am) so no alarm clock was needed as we like to get up and get about our day. I do recommend the Ye Olde Forge Valley Inn for a bite to eat. It's dog friendly, staff are very friendly and the food was very good value for money (good portion sizes too) I would also say pay a visit to Rievaulx Abby, Hemsely Castle, Whitby Abby (and do the 199 steps) are all worth a visit. We would love to come back and stay again possibly for longer and at a different time of year.

Thank you fir the detailed feedback and such great comments and recommendations, thank you! Property Owner

  • "We've recently returned from a very relaxing stay in The Granary Loft."

It is a lovely property and very spacious, we were a party of 2 with 2 dogs. When you enter the Loft, you are straight into a large boot room, which is a great area for drying off the dogs after a walk and leaving our boots and coats. It also contains the washing machine, with the dryer just outside the door in the carport, again which is very useful. The Loft was so cosy, in fact we had to turn the temperature down to suit us, but this was easy to do using the thermostat. There is everything you need in the kitchen, with a big fridge freezer making a change to the usually small ones in other cottages. The bed is the most comfortable i've ever slept on, I called it the magical mattress! The dogs loved their walks around the farm, there are a lot of fields to walk around, the road is quiet to walk down and there is a farm road behind the cottage that takes you on a circular walk. There are also numerous other walks from the door we didn't have time to do. We visited Filey beach as we love it there, but be careful of the tide times. We also visited Filey Country Park. But other than that we didn't leave the farm grounds as it was so nice to be able to potter around there. The owners are very nice, thank you for the welcome basket for us and the dogs, and are around if you need anything, but otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back if we visit the area again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend is to family and friends.

Wow what an amazing review. So glad you and the furry ones had a great stay and a comfortable nights sleep! Hope to see you again x Property Owner
