"From the outside we were a little concerned about the flat as it doesn't have much kerb appeal, however inside the flat was lovely."
We did have to live out of our bags for a week, as there is the smallest rail to hang clothes and no wardrobe or chest of drawers in the bedroom. There is plenty of room for both, and also no TV in the bedroom either. Parking is an absolute pain... we were only given a parking disc which allows us to park for 3 hours, but if you are out longer than that you have to walk back to move the disc time. Therefore, we got a parking notice. If the owner provides a parking permit, you can park there all week without moving the car, as you scratch off the days you'll be staying. So wasn’t really happy about that. We’ve stayed in Scarborough many times and have always been provided with the correct parking. Not sure we would stay again as the noise from the flat above was constant when we were in, and unfortunately I was in the flat a lot more than I would normally be, as I’d only had emergency surgery 2 weeks prior to our holiday. Kitchen and bathroom were perfect — everything you could ask for — apart from the back door. The gap and fitting of the door isn’t great, and as it was March and a few days we had 60‑mile winds, the kitchen was very cold indeed. Just a few niggles, but all in all we had a nice stay.

It took a while for the property to get warm when the heating was turned up but was comfortable, with it being cold on the 1st night it took a long time for the bed to get warm, maybe some warmer bedding would be an idea

"Central location for town and easy parking either on road or car park at the bottom of the street."
The sofas, the bed are very comfy. The kitchen and bathroom are very nice. There where good utensils. If I could make a suggestion some pint glasses and a pizza pan and cutter would be good. Along with a night light in the hall. I agree with the other reviews regarding the garden needs to be given some attention. The front door has a gap that blows a draft through the apartment. The rug in the bedroom and the hallway do move around. I would remove them I don't think they are needed. I would also make sure that the carpets and flooring are paid a little more attention especially given this is a pet friendly property. We didn't experience any excessive noise during our stay. A nice apartment.

"If I returned to the flat at around 3 or 4 pm I had to put up with a banging noise from somewhere to the front of the flat and on an upper floor."
I tried to find out what it was but no one appeared to be in when i knocked on a couple of doors. In the end I shouted loudly to shut up! Then I resorted to turning the tv up really loudly and a little later the noise stopped. It stopped for a few days and then started up. It was a blot on my stay. The rugs: quite thin andI have a degree of arthritis and sometimes tend to drag my feet when I have been walking. I found they started forming waves. I tripped a few times but did not unbalance a great deal but the waves formed even if I went to bed and got up. Somehow in my sleep, maybe turning over I created the waves. Because the rugs were part trapped under furniture it proved difficult to straighten the rugs out. there was a long narrow one in the hallway that generally ended up part way up the wall after I had walked through a number of times. Looking out of my bedroom (and kitchen window at a very unattractive yard with a lot of bins in a small space, weeds, a peeling white washed wall and a outside toilet with the door hanging off and some ot the items stored in it sticking out was not the view I had hoped for. the hallway from the flat's front door to the house front door is very dirty.

"The entrance through the back gate was a shock."
Our first thought was to turn round and go home. Luckily we decided to look inside it was lovely so different to the entrance.Such a shame the outside is not as good as the inside. The bins outside the lounge window are also a bit of a turn off. It would also help if the Windows were cleaned occasionally. Overall we enjoyed it .

"The property inside was beautiful."
We were a little worried on our approach as the outside was not the best first impression. The only issue I had was the back door look very unsafe and drafty Other than that the indoors was beautiful
