"This property is not ready for rental, the high step to the garden is some stacked breeze blocks, not safe and very wobbly, the garden is full of brambles, looks an absolute mess and is not safe for dogs or children and nowhere to sit at all."

The first impression is the overwhelming smell of damp when you enter the cottage, which lingers on your clothes once you leave, even the uncomfortable sofa feels damp and is covered in dust from the unsealed floorboards above. Unable to watch TV as no aerial, no utensils in the kitchen, no sharp knife, chopping board, tin opener, oven trays etc. so unable to cook much. Good job as no dishwasher tablets either. One tiny mirror in the whole place. No iron, ironing board, hairdryer or sweeping brush etc. Bulb out in downstairs loo. Found nails and a knife in the drawers in the bedrooms. There is also no sign on the house, so hope for a friendly neighbour to point you in the right direction! Awful, overpriced and you'll get no help from Sykes regarding a refund. We booked for 3 nights, left after 1. Avoid!

I’m sorry you felt this wasn’t ready. It was a last minute booking and we informed you there was no WIFI and you would have to hotspot, this would have got the TV working for you. If you had looked in all the draws you would have find a few of the things you mentioned also… Property Owner
