We have just returned from a week in Cha Cha's cottage which, on turning the key found to be clean and comfortable.
It was a little smaller than I expected and I found the kingsize bed rather hard and ended up in the single bed, leaving my husband to spread out in a bed which he found to be comfortable. We joke that I am the princess of the pea story! It's well placed with a large supermarket not far away and Botham Bakery just a little further up the road (saving on finding a parking space in town), where I bought my chocolate japs, which are as delicious as I remembered.
By mid week we had got used to some of the quirks of the property and had a lovely week. Ryedale Folk Museum is a gem and the cake at the Forge in the village is to die for. We also enjoyed Runswick Bay, Goathland, Eden Camp and Whitby itself with Fish and Chips at the Fisherman's Wife. Lovely view and fish with no batter as I like it.
