A wonderful place to feel the history of the area and be close to the people who lived there. The old wrelton range in the kitchen was a treasure ( we found something similar at Fairfax house in york) The steam trains and ancient landscapes, Roman footprint and railway history across the whole north York moors national park was amazing. We loved the Local Catholic church in Pickering which was so welcoming and we felt awed by the local saint Fr Nicholas postgate who was martyred for his ministry to the local people and lived and worked in pickering as a gardener for many years

The property

A quaint, compact Grade II listed, semi-detached, former coaching inn, close to the centre of the pretty village of Wrelton.

Full of character, the cottage has flagged floors, beamed ceilings and an original cast iron range.
