  • "In a good location for York City, with regular busses, every 20 minutes or so."

    Co Op store within walking distances. Good sized, modern Freely enabled Television connected to Fibre speed connections. Washing machine handy for quick wash of cotton materials. My wife did find the bed was a little too soft. But that is personal preferences. The bedroom window had in addition to Roman blinds also had total blackout sliding screen, if required. I made use of parking around the back. This place met all of our needs.

  • "Lovely home, spotless clean, the wonderful welcome basket was a nice touch."

    The settee comfortable but a little low for us old people and tv is up too high for a small room, very bad for the neck. The kitchen was nice, but breakfast bar okay for coffee but not enough elbow room for a meal. A small table with 2 chairs would be perfect in that space. A beautiful garden and summer house perfect. The bedroom had plenty of closet space and a blackout screen on window was amazing. The bed wasn’t comfortable for my wife, she put spare pillows under the sheet and slept better. A rail on bath to help getting out. Bus service amazing. We would stay here again, it was so close to the racecourse, we had a wonderful time.

  • "Property idealy located for visits to York and the racecourse."

    The bus service is superb. The self catering facilities are poor. Only three knives and forks which meant we had to wash up between courses. Started boiling eggs only to discover that there were no egg cups. The dining facilities are unsatisfactory. Difficult to enjoy a meal whilst perched on uncomfortable stools and eating from a very small triangular table. The bed is small and very uncomfortable. The bedding and especially the pillows are of very poor quality and we did not sleep very well. The duvet is not big enough. The towels provided were too small. A couple of bath towels would have been much appreciated. The bedroom storage facilities were poor, especially for two vertically challenged individuals who struggled to reach the hanging rail. There is ample room for the introduction of a wardrobe/chest of drawers. The back garden and summerhouse is a massive plus for the property. The welcome pack was excellent. The off road parking is very good. The wifi is excellent. Despite the comments, it would not take much to make this property ideal for us.

  • "From arriving at the property it felt very welcoming and a lovely welcoming pack of goodies which was very much appreciated by us both and to make our holiday great had a lovely summer house in the back garden and was great to relax in and enjoy, the property is not too far from York city centre and if you like a good walk there is a great footpath to York city centre where I was able to enjoy and is wheel chair assessable ,owners were on hand if we needed any help."

  • "I highly recommend this property."

    It was in a quiet suburb with easy access to the city centre and local amenities. The property itself was clean and modern with everything that would be needed. The garden with the little outhouse was a sanctuary retreat. My anxious dog settled wonderfully. I will certainly book again.

  • "One of the best places we have stayed."

    Small attention to detail made this a delightful short break. The welcome pack for us and the dogs too were a nice surprise. The accommodation is dog friendly and has an enclosed garden . We would like to come again when the weather is better as the ‘summerhouse’ and garden was very tempting. The bus into York is at the end of the street and there are numerous dog walks where they can run off lead.
