  • "Very basic, not enough to call it a home from home."

There was no welcome folder with instructions regarding the appliances, heating, bin days — absolutely nothing. The WiFi password didn’t work. There were no dog bowls. The dishwasher was dirty. The shower was very poor, and when I showered, I turned it off and then back on and it scalded me. The front bedroom wooden floorboards had been sanded; however, the nails had not been completely hammered down. We were booked for five nights but only stayed for three, which is a shame because Burniston is a lovely village. And yes, I would like some sort of explanation or apology from the owners, please.

Good Afternoon Sorry to hear about your stay We provide a welcome basket and sheet on arrival we don’t expect our guests to put the bins out and we have never provided dog bowls Unfortunately the WiFi code was slightly incorrect so we have now added the QR code Sorry for the inconvenience Yes the Dishwasher was slightly marked on the seal around which is now sorted There was a staple which had been left from the underlay sorry about this I test the shower Hot and cold worked fine When you turn the shower off then straight back on there is a difference in temperature but this happens with all Electric showers Not sure why you would do this anyway and without checking the temperature first All these situations could of been sorted if you had of contacted ourselves we will always try to help the guest out and sort any problems All of our other guest have enjoyed there stay and left good reviews in the guest review book Thanks Andrew & Marie Property Owner
