  • "Beautiful home with amazing views."

Owners very pleasant and helpful. House is spacious and has everything you need for a relaxed break. We had a little problem with one of the radiators and owners came out straightaway to resolve it. A couple of the bathrooms could do with updating a little.

  • "What can I say other than simply amazing!"

Plenty of room for our 3 generational family. Absolutely outstanding views from both the living area and dining/kitchen area. Spacious bedrooms all with ensuits. Lovely and clean. Fantastic to see the sheep grazing in the field everyday. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Only downside was we had to hand the keys back and return home. We will definitely be booking again. We all can not wait to return for another holiday. This place is a hidden gem of Middleham.

  • "Every facility needed to enjoy our stay, perfect base for walks and attractions"

  • "This is a really lovely property which has great views from the dining room and lounge in particular."

It is on the edge of Middleham but a short walk from nearby pubs, the shop, the castle and tea room. It was ideal for our group of six adults. The main rooms are essentially on one level, but there are a few steps between the kitchen and the bedrooms. The exit is down a flight of steps, and there is a handy boot room. There are lots of walks for the active from the doorstep, and lots of lovely villages and towns within an easy drive. The beds are comfortable and all bedrooms are en-suite. The kitchen is well equipped and has a seating area so the cook need not be left out! The fish and chips from the nearby chippy were excellent. I would definitely recommend it.

MIDDLEHAM

Leyburn 2.5 miles; Richmond 12 miles.

The attractive Wensleydale town of Middleham is renowned for its history and race horses. Much of the history is bound up with its Norman castle, which dates from 1190 and has a castle keep second in size only to the Tower of London. The horses are a great sight as they make their way to the gallops every morning. The pretty market square is partially cobbled and offers a range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The bustling market town of Leyburn is just a short drive away offering a variety of great shops and pubs, or why not take some time to explore The Forbidden Corner, a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and surprises set amidst 4 acres of grounds, providing a fun day out for all the family? All in all a superb base for exploring Wensleydale and all within easy driving distance of York, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales and Heritage Coast.
