  • "Superb remote getaway - well furnished, comfortable accommodation with quirky decorations combined with sensible features like good landing lighting and a seat to put on shoes in hall."

Downstairs is open plan but the living room end still feels cosy and we made good use of the bright modern kitchen. We appreciated the two tables - one for eating, one for puzzles and craft. The 'swing out' TV allowed box watchers to sit one end of the lounge while the readers and mobile phone tappers used the other end. The master bedroom is roomy and we loved the high ceilings/beams upstairs.

  • "Lovely bank holiday weekend stay with family (5)."

Hosts were charming and welcoming. Very clean and tidy property. Lots of nice touches such as milk, biscuits and seasonal fruit from their orchard. Nice walk around back of property. Very good location to be deep in the country as well as drive into York. Would recommend.
