  • "Lovely flat in a great location Great shower and beautifully decorated."

Not great service on tv but used to that in country locations and with Cromarty views just outside door who needs a tv. The living room was slightly too hot for us but that was probably due to the unseasonably hot weather .

  • "A lovely property in a really nice town with lots to see."

The flat was very clean and well laid out to a high standard. Kitchen was well equipped but only thing that let it down was there was no oven glove but other than that we couldn’t fault it. We would stay there again.

  • "Our second visit to the property and would highly recommend."

Experienced a minor facilities issue but the owners dealt with it quickly and were very helpful. The Smart. TV is not straightforward to operate and guidance instructions on accessing live TV channels would be useful. Overall thanks for a lovely stay.

  • "Accommodation excellent, well equipped, warm, comfortable and spotless."

Had to msg iwner about the hairdryer not functioning and it was replaced via Amazon the next day. I had a pleasant exchange with the owner who came across as warm and helpful. Skyes Holiday Cottages on the other hand bombard with lists of instructions which are needlessly dictatorial. I absolutely agree that one should treat holiday Accommodation with care and respect and leave it tidy and free from personal detritus but one pays pretty handsomely for the privilege of staying; it's not a freebie or a favour. By all means ask guests to empty fridge and bins, strip bed perhaps but express this as things which would be appreciated rather than demanded. And never suggest that the dishwasher be run overnight. A fire hazard while occupants are sleeping might lead to disaster and a hefty damage insurance claim.

  • "Almost perfect."

Great location in Cromarty. sadly no views, but the seashore was literally moments away. The flat was well laid out and fine for two people. Unfortunately summer has yet to arrive and the flat was rather cold and no instructions about how to turn heating on. TV needed tuning and some of the flooring adjacent to the kitchen was beginning to lift. Only one hand towel. All minor issues easily rectified. Used to some kind of welcome pack as well, sadly missing. Would visit again.

  • "Tastefully decorated and appointed with absolutely everything you could need for a short/long stay…."

.perfect location for exploring the area near and far. Owners were attentive when I had a small issue that did nit ruin my stay and did everything they could to help…even processing a partial refund that I felt was over generous given the issue. Highly recommended for a couple or like me a single traveller.

About the location

CROMARTY

Inverness 23.8 miles; Elgin 59.1 miles; Lossiemouth 63.8 miles.

Cromarty, poised on the tip of the Black Isle at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth, is the Highlands' best preserved historic town. It is a jewel, rich in history, folklore, striking architecture, and offers grand views of seven counties from the headland above it. But Cromarty is more than just an 18th-century town, providing a wealth of attractions for active travellers and holidaymakers, including sandy beaches, unusual architecture, Bottlenose Dolphins, eating places, a multi-award-winning museum, beautiful countryside, wildlife, and bird reserves of international importance, to name but a few. Being a car journey away from Inverness, the 'Capital of the Highlands', Cromarty combines the advantages of its convenience as a base from which to travel throughout the Highlands, with an apparent detachment from the mainstream tourist routes, giving the best of both worlds.
