  • "Good stay and nice property overall."

Great location and quiet. Kitchen reasonably well supplied with equipment and utensils. Generally met expectations. No Kleenex, and toilet paper supplies were low. Shower badly designed was very difficult to keep water off the floor.

Hello Neil, thanks so much for your review, it’s always helpful to get feedback and we will endeavour to make sure the cleaners are replenishing the toilet roll sufficiently for our guests. We hadn’t considered providing Kleenex but that’s good to know that’s useful to have for our guests! Do give us some more details about why the shower was badly designed so that we can try and improve it? We have just had the bathroom redone very recently so we were disappointed to hear you didn’t think it was up to scratch. Is it stepping out of the bath which might be a bit difficult? Or would it be better to have a thicker bath mat? Great that you enjoyed your stay otherwise and do hope you will return! Kind Regards, Alice Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed the place."

Very comfortable, plenty of space for our family of 3. Our son loved the window seat. Kitchen had what we needed. Water pressure and hot water were awesome. It did smell like someone smoked on main floor, but did not smell that way upstairs in bedrooms. Not sure if it was a smell from no one being there. We bought air freshener spray and with window open and consistent spraying it went away. It didn't bother us as it went away. Would suggest having a hair dryer available. All the places we've stayed at had one. Being from USA, it has been helpful for my wife to be at places with one. There was also no specific shower body wash, so we just used the hand soap. It worked, but just a suggestion. I don't remember the original listing, but make sure mention stairs. It is not an issue for us, but would be concerned if someone who has challenges with stairs. I know the picture showed the spiral stairs. The above is just feedback, things that we wouldn't say turned us off. Loved having the welcome book and original appliance manuals...came in handy for the washer. Really appreciated all the info in the welcome book and recommendations. We felt this was our favorite place to stay at on our trip around Scotland. Highly recommend staying at this place to anyone. Location was perfect!!

  • "Great place - loved the quite personalised style and decor."

A second set of entry keys would have been good - there were three of us and we often were doing different things during the day, so had to coordinate our return.

  • "Alice and Amy have designed the most stylish but comfortable home."

We spent five lovely days in the Bell Tower and will most certainly return. Usually, even the nicest rental apartments have minor flaws. The Bell Tower was perfect in every way.

  • "The accommodation was mostly good!"

I think the biggest problem was the bathroom - it would be nice if you could fix the shower head and the bath tub was VERY clogged. (When I turned on the bath faucet trying to find the shower nozzle for the first time, a big clump of hair fell out.) The water rose to about my mid-calf while trying to take a shower, which is not very pleasant and ended up leaving the bathroom floor very wet. And maybe grease the stairs too because they are very squeaky, which is not ideal if anyone has to pee in the middle of the night because you have to go downstairs. Otherwise, the accommodation was very clean and good location!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in this well presented property and would definitely stay here again."

Great location, close to city centre with plenty of eateries close at hand. However, on arrival it was obvious that the cleaning had not been thorough - mouldy plate of food in the fridge, dirty towel in the bathroom, broken toilet seat and a blocked outlet from the wash hand basin. This did not detract from our overall enjoyment but needed bringing to the owners attention .

Hi Mr Struthers, I'm so sorry this happened on your stay and we are making sure our cleaners don't forget to clean in future! We are really glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Kind Regards, Alice Property Owner

About the location

INVERNESS

North Kessock 5.9 miles; Dores 9.2 miles; Tomatin 15.5 miles.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
