  • "We were well pleased with Burnside Cottage."

It was better than we thought it might be. It requires finding, so arrive in the day light if possible. However if you arrive in the dark, the villagers of Jemimaville are friendly, so no problem. It was clean and well equipped. The owner was there to greet us and was helpful and friendly. When leaving we felt we had left a new found friend behind.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was lovely meeting you and hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "A superb cottage with absolutely amazing views."

Description and images does not do this cottage justice. Great kitchen, large, clean and host supplies a superb welcome basket of local produce. We actually purchased more of the goodies to take home they were that good! Easy to find, great parking, friendly and host on tap should you need anything. Would recommend this cottage highly to anyone wishing for a tranquil and idyllic stay in Moray. Thanks for a great holiday and we will be back!

  • "We booked for a 3 night break at Burnside - which we extended to 4 nights."

A quiet location overlooking the Cromarty Firth towards Invergordon - great views from the lounge and kitchen. Warm and cosy with everything we needed. Lovely decor with local artwork displayed throughout. A welcome basket with a bottle of Prosecco, some Cromarty Brewery beer, local cheese, oatcakes and shortbread was much appreciated. Callie our dog was also spoilt with treats and her own bed. A short drive to Cromarty and the excellent beach at Rosemarkie and the dolphins at Chanonry Point. Mairi was a great host and could not do enough to make our stay truly memorable. A great place to base yourself, explore the Black Isle and places along the Moray coast. Highly recommended and look forward to staying again in the future.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burnside Cottage."

The cottage is newly refurbished and has been done very thoughtfully. The new kitchen is beautiful with the most amazing views across the Cromaty Firth, as has the garden, where garden furniture is provided. Who needs the TV when you have that amazing view?! We were surprised how close we were to Cromarty as that was not mentioned in the listing. We found Cromarty to be a very interesting little town with some lovely shops and several good places to eat and drink. We also found plenty of interesting places and the most amazing scenery on the Black Isle to visit without having to drive too far. Thank you Mairi, for your friendliness and for making our holiday so special.

Thank you Sue Rob and Paul for your lovely note and gift you left and for the lovely review. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, I know we enjoyed having you here. Property Owner
