  • "Lovely cottage ."

Unfortunately the pub was not a safe walking distance . On a narrow busy road .

  • "The barn/cottage conversion was well-planned and executed."

It contained all the necessities and was conveniently sited near Cannich. We enjoyed being close to nature, even seeing a reclusive red squirrel. All the Scots we encountered were friendly; food was great, would love to come back.

After a few days out on the tops its great to come back to a home from home. The property is 100% and ill be back as big Arnie says. Have fun and explore then chill.

  • "Beautiful cottage everything that was needed was there."

Home from home. Secure garden for dogs. Beautiful setting for wildlife which we saw red squirels, deer but sadly not the pine martin but that was probably because of the time of year. Central location to lots of different places to explore which we did from John O Groats to Inverness, Culloden, Glen Affric, Drumnadrochit, Dores, Nairn and plenty more. Throughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave thankyou for the experience.

  • "Overwhelming dog smell on entering the property."

Dissipated over first few days but an air freshener or plug in would be an advantage. Accommodation very comfortable but some issues with cleanliness of bedding. Was looking a bit tired and some areas needing tlc. In particular paintwork and en-suite fixtures. Well aware of network issues for phones in the area but cottage would benefit from wifi boosters so that it covers the whole property as a long distance from hub to the bedrooms. Overall, however we had a very pleasant stay and a beautiful part of the country.

  • "Very comfortable holiday home in beautiful Strathglass."

All facilities are excellent- comfy beds, excellent showers, well equipped kitchen and we particularity appreciated the enclosed garden for our dog, and the bird feeders we could refill and watch from the open dining space while sipping our morning coffees! Lots and lots to do if you enjoy the wild outdoors including quiet local roads to cycle on. Or a good base with which to explore the more touristy destinations in the Highlands.

  • "The cottage was comfortable and well equipped."

Looks like they have had new sofas since the photos were taken. The dining room overlooking the garden is the cottages best feature. Lovely to sit there watching the birds, and we bought extra bird food for the feeders we did see the deer on two occasions but not the pine martin, even though we left jam sandwiches out. Only tiny point was there are no reins on the high chair and we had to improvise. Would love to return, thanks to the owners for allowing our third dog

Easy to get to and good access. Spacious with good size bedrooms. Heating in small bunkbed room not working properly (was quite cold) but we managed. Dryer could do with some attention but would definitely go again. Best out of the 3 places we stayed in.

Also a superb walk down and along the river close by. Glen Affric is a couple of miles down the road. It was peaceful and quite (without being isolated). My husband and I, with our two golden retrievers, could not have picked a more fabulous place to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Thank you to Wendy and her family for sharing their amazing holiday home with us. Hope to go back!!

Also mattress in the first room isn’t great (something like the end room mattress would be better, that is wonderfully comfy!). Apart from those items, our return visit (3rd) and we wasn’t disappointed, such a lovely location and wonderfully equipped for a family holiday. Thank you x

  • "This was the best equipped self catering cottage in which I have stayed ."

The only thing I couldn't find was a lemon juicer, but this was not problem. The cottage was very clean & comfortable with a new suite in the living room. We enjoyed watching the vast array of birds in the garden & were happy to find a supply of bird food in the utility room. We also had deer in the garden. Initially the cottage was a bit cold as the weather outside was cold. We contacted the owner, as there was a notice asking us not to interfere with he heating system. The problem was rectified that day. The week before had been warm so the heating had been lowered. We had a great holiday & would highly recommend Glen View.

  • "I visited with my husband, 3 children(17, 10 and 8) and my parents and had a really good holiday at Glen View."

The weather was brilliant so we made full use of the large garden and surrounding area. The house itself was well equipt and spacious and although there were 7 of us, it did not feel cramped in the slightest. There was no wifi but this was not necessarily a bad thing as it got the children out playing together and we were well aware of this fact when we booked the cottage. The location was beautiful although quite far away from local shops/amenities and it did mean quite a bit of travelling for day trips. The location on the Sykes map against the location on google maps was slightly out which caused a bit of confusion when initially finding the cottage and we ended up stopping at Eagle Brae to ask for directions as this is where the map took us to. Once we found the cottage, we were very pleased and had an amazing week.
