  • "Ocean View is a large, super clean second floor apartment."

    View of the estuary at Alnmouth and minutes from the beautiful beach. We found a few things which could be better: a holder in each shower to rest soap/shampoo, a washing up bowl or plug, clearer instructions for bins - no bins outside marked for this apartment. As said by a previous visitor the courtyard is line need of attention, paint and postboxes emptied.

  • ""Ocean View" was even better than we had anticipated."

    The open, sunlit living area was lovely, with wonderful views of the sea and ever changing tides. The amenities were all perfect, from the quality sheets to the under floor heating, The location was also excellent: right on the Coastal Pathway, and convenient drives to magnificent castles and other places of interest. The local Post Office village shop stocked all necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Fabulous property."

    Very spacious. Clean. Beds very comfortable. Living area also very spacious and comfortable. Views from the balcony over the river aln and aln estuary were amazing. We will be back again without doubt.

  • "We had a wonderful stay !"

    The flat is beautiful. Everything we could wish for in a kitchen was provided and all fixtures were solid and comfortable. Showers are hot and efficientThe view from the balcony is fabulous and it was a joy to watch the ever changing tides. The weather was very warm during our stay and the flat became stuffy, it would have been nice to open every door and window but the heat pump set up prevents this. The biggest negative for us was literally the first impression of the tatty courtyard with peeling paint and cracked glass. We were dreading what the flat would be like and it was such a relief that it was so clean and well cared for. This is why we have only given four stars for what is undoubtedly a five star accommodation.

  • "A lovely , recently renovated apartment overlooking the beach."

    The views are fabulous along with the sound of the sea. Only steps away to the lovely village centre with a few pubs, restaurants and shops. Only 10 minutes from Alnwick and a perfect base for exploring this beautiful coastline. We stayed with our son, daughter in law and 2 young grandchildren and had plenty of space . A lovely holiday had by all. Thank you. There are approximately 20 stairs to reach the apartment. Its a shame we couldn't fasten the windows open on the front, but hopefully this will be fixed.

  • "Lovely looking apartment with comfortable beds, great views and enough living space for 5 of us."

    Couple of things to point out. The lock on the door to the building itself is very unpredictable. The snib doesn’t go up or down and a couple of times we were either locked in or out, just for a couple of mins, before it sorted itself. The windows in the living area don’t work great, and some handles are actually broken. There are broken tiles on the roof, and others that have fallen off in high winds and are lying in a neat bundle on the balcony. A couple of minor points: shower accessory holders would be useful, the draining tray for dishes is very impractical and just asking for dishes to be broken, unless you’re a jenga champion, and there was a huge amount of dust under one of the beds when we moved it against a wall to make it safer for our young granddaughter. Overall, a lovely apartment with great views, but few it could benefit from the owners maybe staying there themselves to realise the issues raised.

  • "We enjoyed a good holiday at this property."

    The views were spectacular and the flat was well presented. We felt that one or two practical matters could be improved..hooks on the back of bedroom and bathroom doors and more shelves/storage space. We were there for 10 days, so probably had a bit more‘stuff’ ! The location is obviously a massive advantage and we took full advantage of it!

  • "The photos don’t do it justice."

    It’s a wonderful property with breathtaking views. The bedrooms were perfect and very comfortable beds. As a family of 5 adults visiting, we spent a wonderful few days here. I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit here.

  • "The property was in an ideal location with wonderful views and close to the beach and village alike."

    It was extremely comfortable and clean. Our party of six all enjoyed our stay and were very pleased. Would highly recommend. Couple of minor points for the owner, the dishwasher didn't seem to clean too well, this could be the tablets. A window stay in front bedroom needs adjusting to prevent the window from blowing while open. More precise and up-to-date instructions regarding recycling needed. Rest assured none of these points detract from a lovely property and very enjoyable holiday. Thanks

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful week in Ocean View."

    The apartment is spacious, pristine and had everything we needed for a brilliant holiday. The bed was comfortable with quality linen and pillows. The heating system is efficient and the kitchen has everything necessary to prepare meals if desired. The view from the property is stunning, we enjoyed lovely beach walks and the village is well situated for visiting other places, including Edinburgh by train from the local station. The only way this property could be improved on is to tidy and update the external entrance area which does not reflect the quality of the rest of the apartment.

  • "Ocean View is a stylish holiday property with everything we needed for a wonderful stay (well equipped kitchen, iron and ironing board, selection of games)."

    It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfy and there were excellent showers in the en-suites. The sea views were incredible and its location made for a lovely stay despite the February weather. We’d happily book again.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday.
