  • "1 Pear Tree is a spacious, well equipped and comfortable holiday property in a quiet cul de sac."

It is located a short stroll from Beadnell Bay and within easy walking distance of the busier town of Seahouses. Well worth a visit while in the area is the Poison Garden at Alnwick Castle Gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at 1 Pear Tree and the surrounding area.

Accommodation so cosy and lots of lovely little touches especially for the pouch. Craster Arms was visited X2 and coffee & scone at the Salt Water Cafe. Walked loads and relaxed, just what was needed.

  • "What a wonderful apartment in a great location."

You’re greeted by a huge living/dining room and a well equipped kitchen. It’s super comfortable and a welcome retreat after a long day walking the spectacular Northumberland coast. Most 1 bed apartments we’ve stayed at are tiny, not Pear tree. The bedroom also has a comfy sofa as well as a wall hung TV so you can watch telly in bed. The theme continues with a large bathroom, more than enough for two. With at least 4 places to eat less than 100 yds away you don’t have to spend too much time looking for restaurants. We were there in October and the heating was definitely required and worked a treat. The Northumberland coast is on your doorstep with Seahouses 40 minutes walk away, all along the beach. Bamburgh is just a stone’s throw further along the coast with the castle a must visit. Northumberland we will be back and Pear Tree we will be booking again very soon.

Thanks so much for this Craig and Shay . I’m delighted you had a lovely holiday. We look forward to hosting you again soon Property Owner

  • "Such a lovely stay in this part of the UK."

We found Pear Tree to be the perfect base to stay whilst exploring the county. We really appreciated the welcome pack of the unexpected goodies on arrival. The quiet location of the powerful shower were essential after our adventures each day. Now Northumberland holds a special place in our hearts after we made such wonderful memories here. Thank you for letting us stay in this lovely apartment. We will look forward to returning.

  • "This cottage is rated by you as 4 star."

We paid £906 for one week. It was clean but not spotless. Smeared mirrors and we had to wash the pans before we could use them. My main beef though is the uncomfortable bed - a plastic waterproof mattress protector, and really cheap and nasty polyester bedding. Not exactly the luxury we were expecting for the price we paid.

Hi Stephanie it’s so disappointing that you would rate 1 Pear Tree so low! We have had nothing but amazing feedback from our guests with many repeat bookings. The property was fully cleaned and checked by myself the day of your check in. With regard to the pans there is a new dishwasher in the apartment so I’m disappointed that they did not meet your standard. It is very difficult to ensure that a bed is appropriate for everyone as some guests like a soft mattress and others more hard. The property is furnished to a high standard and is always immaculately clean. Property Owner

  • "What a brilliant cottage, as you walk in it feels like home and the location couldn't be better."

Thank you for the welcome pack and helpful notes in the folder, both much appreciated. Love Northumberland to bits, so much to see and do and explore whatever the weather and Beadnell is right in the centre of it all. Too many favourites I mention although The Ship Inn at Low Newton is always a go-to place. Our dog loved is time here, the beaches, country walks, Cheviot's, and everywhere is so dog friendly. Deffo coming back, thanks Sam for making this such a memorable holiday.

  • "1 Pear Tree Cottage is lovely."

Clean, comfortable and a relaxing place to stay. The photographs don't do it justice. It's a short stroll to the beach and 2 minutes from The Craster Arms. A great place for a holiday.

So pleased that you both enjoyed your holiday. Delighted that Bertie enjoyed Beadnell as well. Property Owner

  • "We had a most enjoyable stay at 1 Pear Tree cottage."

It was in an ideal position in the village of Beadnell with off-road parking and a quiet location. Adjacent to two very good pub / restaurants and within easy walking distance of a dog friendly beach it provides everything you would want for a relaxing getaway. The Northumberland coast provides a multitude of places to visit and we would definitely return to this cottage again. Perfect !

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
