  • "This is our second time at your lovely cottage and we would like to compliment you on the overall standard of the house."

The kitchen had every utensil I needed and we utilised the garage this time to store our daughter’s paddle board. Suberb location and the family of bunnies provided hours of fun watching their antics. We will be booking again

The location of the house is perfect, just around the corner from the beach and there are lovely pubs just a short walk away. Smart tv was a bonus and having the extra fridge freezer in the garage meant I could get a decent shop in. We would definitely choose sandy cove again, we were really sad to leave.

House was warm and comfortable, and the location is amazing. I would agree with previous comments regarding it needing a freshening up ( the kettle in particular could do with replacing ) but I understand that is something the owners look at when they come to stay. Overall, we thought it was a fab house and we made some lovely memories there so thank you :0)

  • "The house is ideally positioned for the beach, literally minutes from the beach."

The house is comfortable and well equipped. We had a problem with the key when we first arrived but we oiled the lock and it worked perfectly afterwards. Just a couple of niggles, an outside light in the garden would be helpful, from the side gate infront of the bin storage could do with flags or gravel putting down, as if it's rained or when you come back from the beach it can get a bit messy and there was no mat by the utility door. The fan in the upstairs bathroom wasn't working. As I said a bit nit picking but those were the only faults. I would certainly book this house again when we are next in Northumberland.

It would be beneficial to pave the area where the waste bins are located and the approach, to avoid walking on wet/muddy grass. On the plus side the property is close to the beach, has parking for two cars and has a good sized enclosed garden.

Thank you for your feedback. We are looking to decorate the property later this year. Again thank you for taking the time to give feedback. Property Owner

The cottage was comfortable and did have everything we needed. It was clean and the garden and furniture a welcome addition for the lovely sunshine we had. It’s well equipped and very comfortable and the pool table in the garage is a welcome diversion on a rainy day. I guess it’s obvious that we like it as we’ve just spent our 8th holiday there. An overbath shower in the family bathroom would be a useful addition, but that’s a minor point. We love Northumberland - the beach at Beadnell is fabulous and, as we live in North Yorkshire, it’s not far to travel.

Literally minutes from the sea and local restaurant which served a lovely breakfast. The house was spotless and comfortable, it contained everything we could possible need. ) and some were dirty/greasy Some of the games were dusty in the bookshelf There were wet nose dog marks on the patio doors This might seem petty but the prices were hiked for Covid cleaning ?! Also the garden furniture is rusty and one of the legs gave way causing a coffee spillage Don't want to end on a negative we all enjoyed a lovely holiday

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. The property is very well decorated throughout, and we are sorry to hear that you felt it was “tired.” We admit there were four chipped plates and confirm these have been removed. The utensils are checked on every changeover and the cleaning team do their very best to deliver high cleanliness standards, however your points relating to the cleanliness of the property will, of course, be taken on board. With regards to the garden furniture, we thank you for bringing this to our attention and would like to assure you that we will look to replace the chairs as soon as possible. Clearly not everyone in a party wants to come and go at the same time. All in all a well equipped & nicely furnished large house on a quiet road very close to an excellent beach. About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
