It is a beautiful and comfortable property with everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect being close to Bamburgh, Holy Island and Seahouses to name but a few and we also spent a lot of time at Budle Bay which is a short walk down a track opposite the Warren and is just lovely ! We love it here and will definitely be back

  • "The cottage was very well equipped."

The photos were a true reflection of what to expect. A couple of minor points. The outdoor area at the back could do with weeding, but weeds grow quickly at this time of year. Also the toilets in the bathroom and downstairs cloakroom need adjusting because there is a slight but constant flow of water into the bowl.

  • "I didn’t want to leave."

This cottage was superb on all fronts. Could not have asked for more. The location alone is incredible. The house itself and the facilities are second to none. I needed somewhere that would afford me peace, quiet, space, open landscapes and skies, stars, history, castles, beaches, forests, nature. The Warren has it all. A truly special place. Will definitely return.

Oh thank you so much! We are so glad you loved The Warren as much as we do. Looking forward to welcoming you back. Angela Property Owner

About the location

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
