  • "Lovely relaxing stay with a nice bottle of wine and large bag of crisps to welcome us."

Clean and comfortable. Hot tub could do with a clip on drinks holder to level the side up if at all possible,

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you liked our welcome pack. We will see what we can do about a clip for a drinks holder for the hot tub, great idea. We hope you will come again. Regards Catherine and Amanda Property Owner

  • "Absolutely beautiful stay, we came back for a second time because we loved it so much and we will definitely come again."

A lovely homely lodge, lots of thought and attention to make it comfortable and dog friendly which is a must for us. Our only feedback was that the hot tub had a bit of scumy dirt around the water level and seemed like it hadn't been cleaned. The TV signal was really poor, as was the wifi. I think if the TV signal and possibly the wifi could be sorted out it would be a great improvement. Thank you for a wonderful stay, would thoroughly recommend staying here. Bests Lucie and Bernie

Thank you for your feedback, glad you loved our lodge. The hot-tub is drained down and cleaned between guests but occasionally if previous guests haven’t followed our hot tub rules and have been wearing makeup or fake tan the filter still has residue. If you do stay again, please report any issues to us and we will resolve straight away. In this case our hot tub cleaner would have come out to sort. We will look again at the TV and WiFi but it’s difficult in such a rural location. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will consider coming back. • "A damp/musty smell in the bathroom when it had been closed up so we had to leave the window slightly open."

It turned out to be the shower attachment to the mixer tap had a leak so we could not use it. The hot tub was good but the area was dirty and the cover was very heavy and awkward to cope with, we are both in our 80s. A gate at the top of the access steps would be good when visitors like us had a dog. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Manderine Lodge and Northumberland.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you experienced some issues with the lodge, if you had let us know we would have resolved during your stay. I appreciate the hot tub lids are very heavy as they contain a lot on insulation to keep the water warm. We are looking at a gate at the top of the stairs as we realise that dog owners would like better security for their dogs. Thank you again for your feedback . • "Lovely well equipped and clean accommodation."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it had everything we needed and more. Lovely little touches like the wine, crisps, dog food and a kitchen with essentials!! Hot tub brilliant! Close enough for days out but in a lovely location, so the best of both worlds. Would definitely return x

  • "We had a great stay, the only down side was a very muddy walk to the Bari Bar and back."

It could be improved by putting a path instead of the muddy road.

You will be pleased to hear that a path with new lighting is being laid at the moment. Property Owner

  • "The lodge was clean and all essentials provided."

However, the carpet in the sitting area was very badly stained and the settee was well worn and not at all comfortable to sit in for any length of time. The tap was loose on the handbasin of the en-suite shower room and the shower hose kept coming off the shower head when in use. The shower in the main bathroom was not good either. The kitchen and dining area were good with plenty of space for cooking and dining and we made good use of the veranda, although that could have done with a really good clean as it was really quite dirty, espescially when compared to our neighbouring lodges. All in all, we enjoyed our stay as the park is set in lovely woodland and a good location for visiting local attractions, however not in Manderine Lodge as it is really looking a bit tired.

Thank you for your feedback, we are really sorry that you found Manderine looking tired and in need of some repairs. It has been a busy season and clearly it has taken its toll on the lodge. We have replaced the living room carpet, tightened the tap in the en-suite, fitted new made to measure blinds in both bathrooms. The hose and shower head has been replaced and the verandah has had a spring clean. Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic time at this lodge from start to finish."

It was a very good price, good size, homely and would recommend this accommodation. I will definately be booking again in the near future.

Thank you for your feedback we have had a new carpet and new blinds in the bathrooms since you stayed with us last year. Hoping to see you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "The property was good value for money."

Kitchen and livingroom facilities were great. Although, a little dated and a bit grubby in places (mould in bathroom, wonky tap and stains on the carpet). The hot tub was a good size and was in a nice location underneath the trees. However, this meant there were constant insects, leaves etc. It really needs a net, as there was always scum on the sides which made it quite off putting getting in. I wouldn't come back for this reason.

  • "Pros - A beautiful lodge in a beautiful location."

The lodge comes fully equipped with all you need to have an amazing holiday. The hot tub is great and easy to use for novices like myself. WiFi works well. Kitchen is fully equipped with all you need. You are surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of walks for the dog right on your doorstep. If you want to venture out it's not far to plenty of beautiful beaches, castles and various other attractions. We had a fantastic holiday and will no doubt return in the future. Cons - None Things that need attention - The over bath shower is not very powerful. The extractor in the bathroom is very noisy, needs replacing. TV could do with an update. Thanks for a great holiday.

Thank you for your feedback, we replaced both bathroom extractors and popped new blinds up in both bathrooms. We have also replaced the TV and put a new carpet in the sitting room. I hope that you will book with us again. Property Owner
