"Loved the property."Very comfortable with everything we needed. Enclosed back yard for the dogs. The property is fairly isolated, although only 2 miles from the A1. There is plenty of opportunity to walk the dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cherry Tree cottage and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook in the future Reviewed by Manley5.0★Oct 2025

"This place is exceptional as it had nearly everything we needed for a home from home!"A most generous welcome pack was unexpected and enjoyed greatly. Our only minor comment would be to provide a washing up bowl and oven gloves. Very generous supply of coal and wood so we enjoyed having a real fire on cooler evenings. "Quaint cottage."Very good as a base to go exploring, but bear in mind there is little within walking distance (not a problem, but be prepared). Very quiet and tranquil, great for getting away from it all. Reviewed by Gerald5.0★Jun 2025

"Love this cottage and the area."The secure garden is brilliant for the dogs, we can keep the door open for them to come and go.
Cottage very comfy and has everything we need (thanks for the Cava, Catriona).
The walk round the field and to Fallodon Hall are wonderfully peaceful - you’ll meet the local wildlife…rabbits, pheasants and deer.
Loved meeting the 3 pet pigs again and they enjoyed their apples.
Thanks for the pizza recommendation Jamie - Embers in Embleton was amazing.

"Lovely little cottage for our young family."Really comfy and had all the amenities we needed. Generous welcome package which was a lovely surprise. Fantastic location, close to the A1 for ease of travelling up and down the county and a beautiful beach just 10 minutes away. Only improvement would be the need for a jolly good deep clean. But overall would recommend and would return. Reviewed by Rebecca4.0★May 2025

"Lovely cottage."The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs which was a huge plus. The cottage itself was comfortable and lovely and had everything one could need. There are enjoyable walks on the doorstep, and of course the splendid beaches of Embleton and Beadnell are just minutes drive away. Would definitely recommend this property. "Avery unclean cottage."Front door cracks in the frame so letting in light. Bathroom very poor. The shower glass over the bath did not sit on the bath run so letting water drip onto floor. Bath taps lose again quantise of water spilt onto floor. Electrics kept tripping g. Freezer box in fridge totally frosted up so freezer bos poor. Basically a very unkept cottage and in my view over priced. Not a happy couple. The worst cottage we have stayed in. Would not recimmend this. Outrage.
I am very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay and that the accommodation didn’t meet your expectations.
It is a great shame that you didn’t get in touch during your stay to highlight your concerns so that we could have helped rectify some of these issues.

"We loved our holiday in this cottage."The weather was good so we spent time in the fabulous garden with our greyhounds.
The cottage is far more spacious than it looks from the outside.
The road was busier than usual due to a temporary diversion but in the evening the place was quiet and peaceful.
There’s a lovely walk down a wooded path opposite the cottage. The scenery in the area is glorious and hearing the pigs and wildlife is a bonus.
Looking forward to coming back next year! Reviewed by Jools5.0★Jun 2024

"Our stay here was great!"We loved the cottage and its location is fabulous with dark skies at night and wonderful countryside all around. The cottage is within easy driving distance of all our favourite Northumberland ‘must visits’ and we took full advantage of that during the week. The owner is very approachable and helpful, and she had left a few goodies for us to enjoy during the stay. The cottage was very clean and comfortable if a little cold downstairs as both storage heaters had minor defects. To supplement the ground floor heating though there was ample coal for the open fire. Upstairs was lovely and toasty and the beds very comfortable. This cottage is ticked off for a second visit in due course. Reviewed by David5.0★Apr 2024
