  • "Beautiful place to stay."

Fully appointed kitchen. Comfortable lounge with TV. Very quiet. An enclosed area outside to sit and have coffee or a picnic. All the comfort of home. Ideal spot for exploring the coast. Would highly recommend

  • "A well presented cottage."

The living space is perfect for two but perhaps a little snug for four - with a three seat sofa and a small tub chair. The cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring the coast, Holy Island is only 15 minutes. The village is very quiet with easy walking directly from the cottage, taking you up the hill to some magnificent views and further on St Cuthbert’s Way. I would highly recommend this cottage for a family or two adults.

  • "Lovely, modern and clean and spacious cottage and fabulous location close to Holy Island and great for visiting the coastal locations in this part of Northumberland."

Highly recommend. Great extras such as Amazon Tv and hairdryers provided. Heating system top quality as lovely and warm. Minor points would be additional pillows should be provided as only one of each on each bed and they are very flat, and better quality fluffy towels would make this cottage even better. Lovely welcome pack - milk, bread and wine was a lovely touch and helpful information pack with local information also provided. Garden is separate to the cottage so if you have a dog it’s not a garden you can just open the door and let the dog out. May be helpful to explain this in the listing -wasn’t an issue for us but might be for some people. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The cottage is tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The cottage has everything you need for a holiday. We had a lovely welcoming surprise, coffee, tea, bread, mik, chocolates and a bottle of prosecco. Our Christmas at The Nook was lovely. The cottage is about 5 minutes from Holy Island and 15 minutes from Bamburgh and is situated not far from other beautiful places. Christmas at the Nook was wonderful and we'd highly recommend it to others. (At any time) We'd definitely stay again. The cottage is extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable and the furniture also. Thankyou for a wonderful stay and the nice touches. Ange & Dean

. The property owner and the information he provided was very helpful indeed and it was a great property. Sykes advertise a good range of properties and are very efficient but the constant flow of emails from them becomes irritating.

It had everything we needed to cook meals, plenty of utensils, pots and pans. The seating area was comfortable and it was good to sit as the end of a tiring day and relax in front of the tv. The decoration was to a high standard and the bathrooms were very clean and fresh. The cleanliness of the apartment was first class throughout. There was also plenty of storage room in bedrooms. There were several nice walks along back lanes from the village of Fenwick, which we enjoyed with the dog before setting off to explore the stunning coastline and countryside. We would definitely book this apartment again.

  • "Parking was misleading and unclear, implication was that the property had a parking space but there was only one space between two cottages."

Information on parking should be improved. There was dirty cutlery and the table wasn't clean. We also found the bed throw dirty and covered in hairs, which left hairs all over the bed linen. But otherwise the cottage is perfectly situated and well presented.

This could be made clear especially for a family with small children who would imagine their children would be I a safe enclosed garden that was accessed from the door of the house. Otherwise everything was perfect.

  • "We had a fabulous time at the Nook, a great location to explore Northumberland."

I would have liked more information on the immediate area in terms of dog walks- we found no walks directly from the property (although in sure there would be some!). It also advertised an enclosed garden- however this was not as expected, it was completely separate from the property and was gravelled with one picnic bench. No good for children or dogs. The accommodation was tidy, comfortable and modern and we had a great holiday but would not book this cottage again unless the garden was improved.
