  • "We had a great stay at Yew Cottage, it was well equipped had everything we needed (a hot tub would have been nice but not a deal breaker) and pretty central to every where we wanted to visit."

    The apple Inn Pub was less than a 5min walk and served nice food or if you just wanted to go for a drink. Only criticisms were there was dog Hair on the couch and my Partner found dog hair on the bedding and bed throw so we had to request new bedding, the only other thing was there is no side gate to the Deck Garden area so you lost some privacy when sitting out side. Otherwise all good and a nice well needed break.

  • "No negatives."

    Only positives. Facilities first class. Everything needed was there. The downstairs cloakroom was invaluable. The garden was lovely and as the weather was good it was well used. The dog loved it too. The property was only a 5 minute walk to a lovely pub which served beautiful food.

  • "We had a lovely short stay at Yew Cottage."

    The cottage was comfortable for our needs. We had a slight problem locating the cutlery, didn't know there was a draw in the dishwasher, but this was resolved very swift by a telephone call.- thank you. The only criticism we had during our stay was the instructions for the oven and the living room would benefit from another small coffee table, or side table - only one in the room which was difficult to share between the two sofas. Would we stay here again ..... absolutely. Great cottage, comfortable and lovely location for visiting Northumberland.

  • "Lovely cottage in Lucker which was a perfect place for exploring Northumberland."

    Very well maintained, excellent showers, modern kitchen, heating efficient and easily controllably, perfect enclosed outdoor space especially dog friendly. Suggestions for improvement would be a better lamp in the lounge (too dark with the very small lamp) and mirrors near plug points in the bedrooms as wardrobe mirrors are too far from plugs for hair drying.

    Brilliant location,and very quiet. Close to all the towns and attractions so you didn’t have to drive too far.

  • "Very nice property but could do with a few additions eg, a shelf in the bathroom as nowhere to put toiletries."

    Also sofas were very low and poor quality. A delayed start to our holiday as we arrived for 3pm entry but found property had not be cleaned since we were expected at 4pm. This , we were told by the owner, was an error by Sykes. Also there had been no notification from Sykes that we had a small dog. When I told the owner we had been charged £30 by Sykes for the dog she was staggered by the cost.
